Obituary
Juliann "Juli" Mokrzycki Pagoria, age 64, of McKinney, TX, passed away on March 25, 2025, after facing health challenges with unwavering strength and grace. Juli was known for her giving nature and wonderful sense of humor. She was incredibly generous and would do anything for anyone, always thinking of others before herself. Her thoughtfulness and kindness were unmatched, and her family will always smile at the memory of her unexpected surprises and the joy she brought into their lives.
Juli grew up in the Chicago area as one of six siblings. Always adventurous and with a love for sports, she cherished her days spent outside—playing baseball, riding bikes, and soaking in the freedom of childhood. In 1979, she met the love of her life, Joe, and together they built a beautiful family of their own. They later moved to Arizona to raise their children, embracing a new chapter filled with laughter, weekend pool days, and unforgettable memories.
Juli’s greatest joy in life was being a mother—and later, a grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. She and Joe shared a love for travel, with favorite trips to Hawaii, Mexico, and California. Juli especially loved the beach and never missed a chance to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the water—those quiet, golden moments were some of her happiest.
Juli was known for her strong work ethic —sometimes almost to a fault. She never minded a long day and always wanted to get things done right. Her dedication was often the source of light-hearted teasing, but it was just another reflection of how much she cared. She held several positions later in life, always bringing care and commitment to whatever she did. Most recently, she worked at Globe Life, where she was appreciated not just for her reliability and team spirit, but also for the sweet treats she always had on hand and her steady support of those around her.
Juli is survived by her devoted husband, Joe; her son, Philip (Emma); her daughters, Gina (Allen) Bien and Angela (Vinny) Catullo; and her treasured grandchildren, Nicholas and Palmer Pagoria, Lucas Bien, and Anthony and Capri Catullo. She is also survived by her siblings, Joseph (Nancy) Mokrzycki, Dori (Bruce) Nethero, Frannie (George) Trakakis, Tony (Amy) Mokrzycki, and Mary (Lee) Lupstein; her brother-in-law, Nicholas Pagoria; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ignatius and Marie Mokrzycki; her in-laws, Philip and Jennie Pagoria; her siblings-in-law, Concetta and Joe Guagenti and their son, Philip Guagenti; and Patricia Pagoria.
Juli’s warmth, generosity, and humor left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
