William Vacanarat Shadrach Tubman Jr.

Forever in Our Hearts
Official Announcement
It is with profound gratitude to God, and with faith and hope in Jesus Christ, that we announce the transition of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and servant of God, Mr. William V. S. Tubman Jr., who entered eternal rest on September 17, 2026.
He was a man of deep conviction, compassion, and service, a devoted husband and family man, former Senator from Maryland County, Republic of Liberia, a man of the people, and one who dedicated his life to serving his family, community, and country.
As an evangelist, he devoted himself to Christ and to sharing the Word of God, a calling that brought him great joy, peace, and purpose. His love for people left an enduring mark on the lives of all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Wokie Tubman; his children, Antoinette (Erich), Sharon (Paris), Denise, Rosalind (Eddie), and Barkue (Karton); the many children he embraced, supported, and loved as his own; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; his siblings; and a wide circle of family, friends, colleagues, and the many lives he touched through his service and ministry. He was predeceased by his son, Victor.
His earthly journey has come to an end, but the legacy of his life, his words, his relationships, and the countless lives he touched will endure for generations to come.
Our family gives thanks to God for the gift of his life and is deeply grateful for the extraordinary outpouring of prayers, love, and condolences we have received.
His faith has been made sight.
The Family of William V. S. Tubman Jr.

We received the news of his passing with deep sadness. He was a father, an uncle, and a respected elder whose quiet strength, wisdom, and kindness touched the lives of many of us. His presence and the memories we shared will remain dear to our hearts.
As we mourn his passing, we pray that Almighty God will comfort his beloved wife, children, and all family members and loved ones who grieve his loss. May the Lord grant his gentle soul eternal and peaceful rest, and may his legacy, love, and cherished memories continue to bring comfort and strength to the family during this difficult time.

May the grace of God be upon the soul of our beloved member of the Bible reading club. Brother Shad became a member of the Bible reading club in September , 2015.
As a member of the Bible reading club, Brother Shad brought with him his devotion, his intense eagerness of learning about our Lord. We all look forward to our Wednesday's morning meeting to hear that distinct voice as he recites the scriptures with his eloquent cadance. His knowledge and spiritual inquest elevated our thoughts. His insistence on reading and discussing the assigned scriptures was remarkably effective and captivating. We all became better by his presence. His devotion to the Lord was not limited by borders, for even when he left the states to settle in Ivory Coast, he still found time to call in and participate.
In his life , he carried out the true directives of our Lord, for he saw a need in many and he tried to fulfill it. He gave to the poor willingly without asking for anything in return. He sought justice for the weak, mercy for the left outs, patience for the misguided, help to those in need. Brother Shad was a servant of the Lord, who was blessed by God and bestowed upon others much of his blessings in words and deeds. We will remember brother Shad for his kind deeds, but most of all, we will remember him for his love for God through his exhibition of his love for his fellow men, for as the scripture says' if you have done it to the least of these, you have done it to me' . So as we say our goodbye to brother Shad, we need no other evidence, we need no other plea, but truly this man was a son of our living God. yes, he love the Lord with all his heart and mind, and he love his neighbor as himself, Goodbye servant of the Lord, may you rest in peace, you have done what was expected of you: you saw sorrow and try to heal, injustice and try to correct, hunger and try to feed, crying and you try to bring joy. you have run your race, your reward awaits you good and faithful servant, sleep on, sleep on.
1 Timothy. 4:7
Dear Cousin Shad; You have faithfully, fulfilled Matthew. 25: 31-46.
Like Uncle Shad (Daddy) ,your generosity will always be profoundly appreciated and remembered. Following Uncle Shad's transition,,you promised me that you would continue to finance my education and you kept your promise. I never lacked anything. Your life of Compassion for family and those in need, will be your, Forever, Legacy.
Thanks for all your support. With God's Blessed HOPE, we shall meet again in that City of "No Nights." Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Never, Forgotten! Elizabeth R and Family. ❤️
To us, Cousin Shad was so much more than a cousin. He was a beloved and dependable member of our family, the one we could turn to for anything. He was easy to talk to and a wonderful listener, and when he spoke to us, it was as someone who truly understood what we were going through.
His wise counsel and gentle guidance did more than turn our lives around; he helped us grow into independent, stable people. For those of us who had lost our fathers, Cousin Shad became both mentor and father.
He gave freely, never asking for anything in return, and he shared his blessings with so many of God's children. His passing leaves a void in this family that may never be filled. Tears cannot wash away the pain, and words cannot express our sorrow, but from the deepest part of our hearts, we will always remember him.
Goodbye, Cousin Shad. Your good deeds did not go unnoticed. God saw you, He blessed you, and you blessed us in return. Sleep on and rest well. Well done, good and faithful servant. Well done. God's reward is the best.
Grandson Monie
You witnessed the love that your father and my father, Shad and Alex, had for one another, and you carried that love forward by continuing to show it to us. You were not only my first cousin, but also a loving father figure.
Your humble spirit and your love for every human being, regardless of race or position, make you a truly rare and special soul, the truest definition of a beautiful heart. Your memory will live forever in our hearts.
May your soul rest in perfect peace.

Our children remember Daddy Shad as the always gracious, kind, and jovial uncle. He made sure people, especially children were seen. He liked to dance and knew how to dance and sing the lyrics to popular dance songs. The home of Mommie Wokie and Daddy Shad was a second home to our children where they were always comfortable.
During his years in the US, we were blessed to be a part of the Holy Spirit’s work, through Daddy Shad’s life. We will never forget the prayer meetings, the singing, and the fervent messages.
Mommie Wokie and all our dear cousins, we both grieve and rejoice with you because even in this time of sorrow, God is GREAT , LOVING, and MERCIFUL.
Eddie and Rosalind, thank you plenty and may you be overwhelmed with the blessings of God. We love you all dearly and will miss the kind and gentle man we know as Daddy Shad.
