Obituary

Boden Joseph Reischl, was born April 27, 2009 and left this earth on April 14, 2021. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Reischl, great-grandparents, John and LaVaughn Riley, Aage and Ida Jensen, Joe and Mary Reischl, and Harry Lacy Sr. Boden is survived by his parents, Chad and Inga (Jensen) Reischl, siblings, Mya (14), Riley (8), and Olivia (4). Grandparents Cindy Reischl, Karl and Caren Jensen and Great-Grandma Naomi Lacy. Aunts and Uncles, eight Cousins, and all of his wonderful “Framily”.

Boden was born in Omaha to Chad and Inga. He was a 5th grade student at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic School. Boden was a cherished son to his parents, a very special grandson, amazing brother, sweet nephew, loving cousin and a loyal friend to everyone. Boden was known as a kind hearted boy, who loved spending time with his siblings. When not playing video games, you would find him playing basketball or softball with his big sister. He loved playing Legos or stuffed animals with his little brother, or even playing Barbies with his little sister. His family describes him as an “old soul”. Boden had the biggest heart, and was a very protective brother. He was a loyal friend and valued his best friends most of all. He made a lasting impression on everyone he met. Boden was proud to be called a nerd, because he enjoyed Pokémon, was an avid reader, straight A student, organized and methodical. He always loved making scrambled eggs and chocolate chip pancakes. Boden was a jokester that most would call funny because of his quick wit and timing. He was extremely creative and a talented artist. Often, you could find him illustrating Pokémon books with Riley. Boden was a special person, who we always knew would make the world a better place. We just didn’t realize that his life’s impact would be felt at such a young age. Boden became the ULTIMATE HERO when he answered the prayers of others through organ donation. We love you with all of our hearts Boden Joseph Reischl. You are more than just OUR, guardian angel now.

These two were too young to remember you, but your impact on the world is touching lives to this day. Brooks is always first to spot “Bobo” and the stories we can share help carry on his memory. Brooks loves “Spidey” just like you did, and it was touching to see a small spidey toy today next to your flowers. We love you, Boden <3

Happy 16th bday to Boden (yesterday)! Our boys were chatting and guessing what type of car he is driving up in heaven! Jrake and our family spent some time with him at the cemetery yesterday. Miss him so much!

Boden I miss you so much. I can’t believe you were taken from us 4 years ago. You made everyone smile because you always were smiling. I was always impressed with your art work. One holiday you made me a picture that showed how I looked in the mornings (in my black robe) ha! It was the cutest🥰! You always noticed everything about people, things they didn’t even notice about themselves, that was talent. Love you all the way to heaven, till we meet again!

I don’t even know where to begin. Me and Boden had just started becoming good buddies when I heard the news. Boden and I would play on our Minecraft world everyday. Made a memorial for him on it. Biden was such a good hearted kid that had such a passion for being creative and art itself. Him and I would always sit next to each other in art class and give tips to each other on how to draw certain things. On the banner above the Artist of the month hall there’s a nameplate Boden drew in bubbles underwater. I helped him make SpongeBob’s house in the corner. He honestly taught me a lot on how to draw batter and I still have a passion for art this day. Boden always brought a smile to everyone’s faces and I will be forever greatful to have been his friend for the time I was.

Mom and Dad please don’t be sad, I miss you so much too. It’s beautiful here, but I worry a lot about you. I sleep with my fellow angels watching thee... there is only love up here. I am never lonely or afraid because God is so very near. I walk with Jesus every day, He is very kind and loving. Don’t worry Mom and Dad, He held my hand as we crossed to heaven. I never cry or hurt myself, I see Grandpa every day. I play and laugh and sing a lot and I hear you when you pray. Please Mom & Dad, don’t be mad at God, you see He loves me too, and even though you are not with me, I am really still here with you.

My Final Gift
It is now time for me to move on
Into the dusk, but also the dawn

I will remain as the morning comes,
As I have left behind a gift for someone.

So another may walk, my talk, may see
Where something in their life was locked,
I offered them a key.

I am a donor, giving to someone in need,
My final gift, my final deed.
