There really are no words to express how I feel about Amie’s passing. I don’t have many pictures of Amie and me together, but what I do have are memories that I will always treasure.

I have always looked up to Amie. She was someone whose advice I genuinely valued and someone I admired tremendously. Amie was strong, eclectic, adventurous, brilliant, and completely and unapologetically herself. She had a way of living life that I envied in a good way.

She was also an incredible wife and mom and the love she had for her family was always so apparent. One of the things I love about Amie, is how she passed on all of her good qualities to her children and allowed them to be their best selves. She was a bright light, and I don’t think I ever fully realized until now just how much of an impact she had on me.

Some people come into our lives and leave something behind that becomes a part of who we are. Amie was one of those people for me. Her contribution to my life simply cannot be put into words.

She will be greatly missed. I will always be grateful that I had the privilege of knowing her, learning from her, and calling her my friend.

I met Amie when she was a part of the FB high school youth group and I was on staff. When she walked into a room she brought the sunshine with her. One fun memory of mine is when she got her mustang and showed me the “No Jag 4 You” license plate and she thought it was hilarious. Watching her grow up, get married and have children and the love and wisdom she instilled in them is evident in their lives today. There was never a person Amie didn’t know. Her “can do spirit” and ubiquitous smile will be greatly missed.

I am profoundly heartbroken for your family. Amie was a remarkable woman—strong, vibrant, and full of a fiery spirit that made her unforgettable. She was beautiful not only in appearance, but in the way she carried herself and the impact she had on those fortunate enough to know her.

Amie held a special place in my life. She was the mother of my first love, and because of that, she was an important part of my story. I will always be grateful that I had the privilege of knowing such an extraordinary woman. Her memory, her spirit, and the kindness she shared will remain with me.

Please know that your family will forever remain in my heart and in my prayers. I love you all. Always have and always will.

May peace surround you through this time of unimaginable loss. Celebrate her life the way she would have wanted it to be. Go in grace and with joy.

Please accept my deepest condolences. I will continue to hold your family close in my heart and lift you all up in prayer.

Of course. I have great memories of Amy on the pickleball court. Another favorite memory is the time she stoppe by my house with a bouquet of flowers in her hand saying she heard I was going to have dental surgery what a sweetheart!! Love you Scott and Amy!

Amie,

We were only 18 years old when we first met. And, as if time were in a hurry to bring us together, we celebrated our 40th birthdays side by side at your parents’ ranch — which also became mine — surrounded by our families. It was a day that time could not erase.

After that, we did not see each other in person again, but your joy for life and your generosity remained intact within me, like a presence that does not fade. You leave this world carrying the legacy of someone who loved this life deeply.

I will be here for Magra, Scott, and your children.

With love,

Your Brazilian sister,

Príscila

I haven't seen Scott and Amie since the late 80s at First Baptist Modesto, but I remember them both fondly. We went cliff jumping a time or two with a group and made up nick names for each other. I think we called Amie Ace. She was always kind and it was very sad to hear of her illness and passing. I was glad to hear of the positive impact she had on so many throughout her life.

So many fond memories with Amie I used to call her Francis. Don't ask me why. The last time I saw Amie was at Disneyland. I was taking my daughter and I randomly ran into Amie and Susie. It was such a joy to see the two of them, her smile and her laugh were always contagious. My condolences Scott to you and the family.

Amie, My heart still aches, and I can’t get you out of my mind. You were always one of my faves, and you brightened up my classroom with your laughter and enthusiasm. I often think back of that wonderful French club get together out on the Keckler Ranch with the hay ride and all the fun everyone had. I remember the beautiful wedding you and Scott had with the horse drawn carriage. I have so so many beautiful memories of you. Je t’aime, ma belle Amie. ♥️

I met Amie when I was 16 years old. I had a big fight with my boyfriend and she was walking down the street and saw me crying. She was with all the kids and still stopped to talk to me. We found out that she was friends with my cousin and that we had both gone to First Baptist. She invited me to her house right then. I started going to her and Scotts church. We kept in contact and for a while, she paid me clean her house or take me places with her like decorating Memorial hospital at Christmas. She taught me the best way to fold towels and poured into my life.. She took me under her wing. I hope one day I can be just as open to helping a 16 year old girl crying on the street with my kids in tow as she was. Amie was special. She was a mentor that changed my life in so many ways when I was in a very broken place. Amie, thank you for the time you invested in me. I think of you often, especially when I fold towels for all my kiddos. 😊. My prayers are with you all.

Amie loved Dave Fleming’s quirky, unconventional and corny humor, as the voice of pickleball. So we’d always save the really good one liners to share before playing and crack up together. Her smile and laughter, courage and spirit, were glorious. She will not be forgotten.

Amie was a true force — bright, beautiful, and so full of life. She loved with a passion and fierceness that touched everyone around her.
We cherished our times together with her and Scott — sharing good meals, great music, and heartfelt conversations about our adventures, our hopes for the future, our kids, our dogs, and everything in between. We admired her courage so much as she fought hard for her life these past two years and allowed so many of us to walk that journey with her.
We are heartbroken that her healing wasn’t meant to happen on this side of heaven, but we take comfort knowing she is now at rest and fully made whole.
We will miss Amie deeply but have hope that we will see her again someday.

We love you Amie ❤️

Amie did not want to leave. She had so many plans, such drive and ambition for multiple long life spans. She wanted to hold her grandchildren, that so far only existed in her dreams, be here to witness the accomplishments of her children that she fiercely loved. She was, and I believe still is, a force to be reckoned with. May we all continue her legacy of love, passion, drive and loyalty as a tribute to her amazing life. We love you dearly my friend. Until we meet again, Tony and Dorene
