The warmest, funniest and cheekiest lady I have had the privilege to know. Zena welcomed me to the family as Chris’ wife and adored Sophie and Adam when they came along. A most treasured cousin to Linda a niece to the much missed Sheila, Zena was at the very heart of the family. So many happy memories of holidays to Arran, Norfolk, Wales and the Peak District, and so many family dinners, parties and celebrations. We will miss her with all our hearts. ♥️

Auntie Zena, the spunkiest of them all! Oh how I will miss your wonderful energy and beautiful smile. You have always been the brightest light, and will forever be our brightest star in the night. Lots of love xxx

Well, Zena, in some ways, a fitting last tribute is to do some "technical support" setting up this site to help capture just a fraction of the memories we will all have of you. For me, over 50 years of them (some of them vague, like Belgium when I was less than 6, and Raglan), but then almost every Christmas Day, with your inimitable initiation of "My Aunt Went To Paris," (fueled as I later came to realize, by some of the preceding revelry), Grandad and Lionel as various forms of emcee (or M.C.!), for "Call My Bluff", and "Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John", a game that takes some explaining to those that didn't experience it.

Of course, there are the wonderful trips to celebrate Christmas, birthdays, weddings, or just family, whether it was Scotland, Wales, or the Peak District, to which we always felt so welcomed, or "just" Ashton and later Barnack to "drop in" on one of our hectic visits back to the UK. A "short morning walk" up Mount Blair in Scotland, a few drinks down the pub in Wales with you and Derek, and just about making it back to the house in Annie's car with a mountain of fish and chips in Staffordshire (or was it technically Derbyshire) stand out in my memory among many others.

There are so many memories to last a lifetime with you and our family. Missed already.
Simon
