“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Obituary

William Ryan Korb (November 14, 1984 – July 20, 2024)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William Ryan Korb, a father of two sons, who will carry forward his legacy of love, faith, and strength. His love for his children was unwavering and steadfast. Ryan was also a beloved brother, son, grandson, nephew, and friend. Ryan’s untimely departure at the age of 39 has left a profound void in our hearts.

Those who know Ryan will remember him for his huge heart and extraordinary kindness. His generosity and compassion touched the lives of many, and his selfless nature was a source of comfort, support, and sometimes frustration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His ability to brighten any room with his warm smile will be dearly missed. Ryan's life was filled with moments of joy, laughter, and love. His resilience and determination were evident to all who knew him. He faced each day with courage, faith, and a spirit that inspired those around him. Ryan is also remembered by his extended family and friends, who will cherish the memories of his kindness, sense of humor, and the moments they shared.

Ryan's journey was not without its hardships, but he always sought to find the light in the darkest of times. His ability to persevere through pain and adversity is a testament to his strength of character. Though his time with us was far too short, William Ryan Korb's memory will live on in the hearts of those who love him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Ryan is survived by his two sons, William Carter Korb and Brody Grant Korb; his grandmother, Ruth Embry; his mother, Cathy Yauger; his father and stepmother, Butch and Sheila Korb; his siblings, Ashlie and Joey Moore, Joshua Korb, Madison and Doug Sheldon, Garrett Korb, and Jared Korb; his nephews and niece, Weston, Jacob, and Charlie Moore; his uncles and aunts, Ronny and Nicki Korb, Bryan and Theresa Korb, Carolyn and Keith Jones, and Terry and Sue McCoy; and many loving cousins and friends. Waiting for him at the Door of Heaven, Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Robert “Boob” Korb; his grandparents, Frank and Dorothy McCoy, his great grandmother, Mattie Korb; and his aunt, Sandra K. Splawn.

A service to honor and celebrate Ryan’s life will be held on Thursday, July 25th, at 10:00 am at Shepherd’s Valley Cowboy Church. Rest in peace, William Ryan. Your struggle has ended, but your spirit lives on in the hearts of your family and those who love you.

My name is William black, I was with him at fedex when he went down and it was just my first day working, and meeting him. With what little time I spent with him and what ended up being his last bit of conversation that he had, I could tell he was a great person that loved his family a lot. I was being updated constantly and was rooting for him from afar. My condolences to the family.

We at FedEx Garland are at a loss for words. We were praying for Ryan's recovery and were taken by utter shock upon finding out he passed away. I personally spoke with him just minutes before he fell ill at our station. So, it really reaches me as to how precious life is and can change so quickly. My personal condolences to the family.

Bryan & Teresa,
I’m dumbfounded at the loss of your nephew at such a young age. We pray earnestly for his family. Although I never had the privilege to meet him, per his obituary he sounded like the Korb I know which makes him a true believer in Christ Jesus & one of the most stand up guys I’ve ever known. May he rest in the bosom of King Jesus & take comfort in the presence of the Almighty. May the Lord richly richly bless you all during this difficult time.

Ryan was such a sweet boy when I taught him in 3rd grade. I was so excited to have him in class after knowing the family all of my life. He was such a blessing to teach with his kind heart, his sweet smile, his fun personality. We had the name Ryan picked out for our son early on, but I was so happy to have Ryan Korb, who made me happy I had chosen this name. I have often wondered where he was. He will be truly missed. Prayers for all of his sweet family!
