William "Bill" Carroll

William "Bill" Carroll of Natick, MA, died on June 29, 2025, in Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, surrounded by his loving family.  Bill was born in Greenwich, Ct on April 11, 1956. He graduated from Greenwich High School ’74 and Syracuse University ’78.

An outdoorsman, he enjoyed sharing his love of nature with others while
hiking and mushroom foraging. An avid cook, Bill inspired friends and
family to try new foods and recipes. Bill loved spending time with family and
friends and will be dearly missed by all.

Bill leaves behind his brothers Robert Fulton, M.D. (Betsy Styron), FL, Ray Carroll (Dora), CA, and his sister Trish
Twining, VT, along with his devoted nieces and nephews:
Jennifer Fulton, M.D., Sam Twining (Steph Davis)
Megan Twining and Caroline Twining.

He was often referred to as "Uncle Bill" by more than just his family, and it was something that meant a lot to him.
Our family would relish stories or photos from friends and associates of Bill's.

Remember Me

To the living, I am gone,
To the sorrowful, I will never return,
To the angry, I was cheated,
But to the happy, I am at peace,
And to the faithful, I have never left.

I cannot speak, but I can listen.
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So as you stand upon a shore gazing at a beautiful sea,
As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity,
Remember me.

Remember me in your heart:
Your thoughts, and your memories,
Of the times we loved,
The times we cried,
The times we fought,
The times we laughed.
For if you always think of me, I will never have gone.

I met "Uncle" Bill up at "the farm" in New Hampshire over twenty years ago, and we became quick friends. Non assuming and fun to be around, we spent fun times golfing, eating dinners and best of all, watching football on Sundays. Missing my good friend already, condolences to the family.

My heart is breaking. I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of dear Bill. So many great memories and good times in high school with Pam and Brian and Bill bless your family during this difficult time.

I'll always remember running around outside, growing up next to the Carrolls. Ray, Bill, and Trish. Always in good trouble. With cats, dogs, pony, and identifying birds outside the kitchen window at lunch. RAY, BILL - we yelled "come to lunch." Thank you Bill for always being the consistent keeper of peace, calm, and mischievous laughs.
