Wanda leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 42 years, Lynn Morris, her steadfast partner and best friend; her daughter, Dion Watson, the light of her life, whom she never missed a chance to brag about; her sister Betty Bateman whom she talked with every afternoon; Deb Shirley, Ronnie Morris, Randy Morris, and Troy Morris each of whom she loved and cared for as if they were her own; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom she adored.

I remember when my youngest was in the hospital—I called her afterward, and she gave me a tough time for not calling during. Not because she was upset, but because she wanted to be in it with me. She always wanted to know what was going on, right as it was happening.
We talked about everything—life, the kids, even the crazy political things happening in the world. When I started college five years ago and graduated, she was one of my biggest supporters. She constantly reminded me how proud she was and told me how well I was doing. Any time I shared family plans or updates, she was always encouraging. Always telling me how lucky I was to find my wife and how much she has changed me for the better.
She never held back on her opinions, especially when it came to how ridiculous things were in government. But more than anything, she loved talking about the boys. She lit up when we talked about Hayden and all the new things he was doing. Whenever I sent her pictures, she would always respond with something sweet, telling me how good they looked or laughing about how wild and silly Sawyer was being.
She was proud of them. Proud of us. And she made sure we knew it.
She is in a better place now, but that does not make it any easier. I already miss her deeply, our talks, her voice, her laugh. I miss knowing she was always just a phone call away.
She was more than just my mom—she was my friend. And I will never forget her and our conversations.
