Vivienne and you were often in my thoughts this year. I came to this page many times with nothing to say. Words seem so limiting at times when a huge part of God’s manifestation of His love – your earthly time with Vivienne – changes in the way that is difficult to process, at least for an imperfect mind like mine. I have seen His love shining through brief meetings with Vivienne over decades, and through meetings with your children, particularly Joanna. What you and Vivienne achieved together, whilst overcoming unimaginable hardship, with God’s grace, and what continues to shine through your family, gives the warmth and strength to my own faith in the Great Giver of life and love, our eternal Lord Jesus Christ. God gives us people in our lives that make it worth living, when He takes them away from us, we must trust in His divine providence. The latter is hard to utter, even harder to accept. I pray that Lord gives you strength and holds you tight as you continue to walk with Him.
"Radiant." Every time I think about Mrs. Roderick, this word pops into my mind. Her heart, so captivated by Jesus, beautifully and seemingly effortlessly radiated His love, His care, His concern - first to you all, then to neighbors and community, and finally even to wayfarers as myself simply passing through.
Looking up the word radiant in the Bible, Jeremiah 31:12 wonderfully describes a time which, while for us still a future hope, by God's amazing grace is now a present reality for Mrs. Roderick.
They will come and shout for joy on Mount Zion.
They will be radiant with joy over the good things the LORD provides,
the grain, the fresh wine, the olive oil,
the young sheep, and the calves he has given to them.
They will be like a well-watered garden
and will not grow faint or weary any more. Jeremiah 31:12 NET 2nd Ed.
Thank you Jesus for your dear servant, Mrs. Roderick. Thank you that through the power of Mrs. Roderick's testimony hearts will continue to be illuminated by Your love.
May God continue to bless you, Mr. Roderick, Faith, Joy, Joanna, Susanna, Celeste, Ben, Marguerite and all of your families.
We love you all so much!
The Jordan Family. (David, Mijoo, Atira, Oriana, Serena, and Ethan)
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. My memories of Mrs Roderick (can't call her anything else) are from School Days some 30 years ago. I remember her mostly in the kitchen of the farm house and I remember the pavlova's mostly! I also remember one time, during a very hard time for me, that she sat with me. I can't remember anything that was said only the presence. That feeling of comfort will always stay with me. Love you Mrs Roderick.x
We are so pleased to have met and known your family for these many years.
Vivienne was a great friend to my mum when she first came to Ramsbury and her friendship had been such a warming comfort for her.
You have been there when we needed help and my daughter was always welcome in your home. She loved playing with Vivienne and listening to all her stories. Your prayers and support has been a vital part of our lives.
We shall always treasure those happy memories we shared.
Vivienne will surely be missed but her memory will live on. She has touched so many hearts and she will never be forgotten.
Our heartfelt sympathy to you and your family.
Lots of love,
Ann, Shyanne, Mila & Bobby

Thinking if you all today
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”
Words feel so inadequate right now,
We just wanted you to know we are thinking of you and sending our love.
Vivienne was one of those people who truly shone Jesus - she was beautiful inside and out and will be greatly missed.
God’s promise is that he is close to the brokenhearted, and right now, we believe he’s holding you extra close.
May God’s comfort wrap around you and may her memories bring you warmth when the days feel especially heavy. Xxx
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints" Psa 116:15
In all our journeyings we have always been aware of your faithful prayer for us and we will never know how much Vivienne s life of prayer in particular, has contributed to the blessing of our life and ministry, but we really, really appreciate every prayer she would have said on our behalf and never have taken her love and support for granted.
Whenever I think of Vivienne I simply hear her sparkling laughter and thoughts of her just make me happy.
We re so sad at the thought of her passing and the world will no longer be the same. However we appreciate all these things are part of God s plans and purpose, so we trust you as a family will be enjoying a deep peace in the midst of your sorrow, knowing that Vivienne, lived a life well lived - ran a race well run and will have the privilege of hearing God say, " Well done my good and faithful servant"!
Let none of us grow weary with continuing to doing good at this time as before long we will all be celebrating with her at the Wedding Feast of the Lamb. No matter how broken our hearts are let us press into the fact, that even though Vivienne has gone before us - her leaving gives us another opportunity to get to know Jesus in a new and fresh way, as we journey with Him into paths previously untrod - led by the Holy Spirit and all for the glory of the living God!
Now Vivienne has joined the cloud of witnesses cheering us on. Do not grow weary but keep looking up and be assured not only of how wide deep and high God's love is for you all but also that of your wife and Mum - and us your family and friends.
Love blessings and gratitude always for having you all in our lives
Darren and Shan
Love and blessings
We will fondly remember Vivienne’s amazing roast dinners, her hospitality, her wisdom, her joy, Christ’s light that shone so brightly through her.
I look forward to the day when we will join her when Christ returns for His bride. Until then, you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race and have kept the faith.
With love from Marisa, Peem and David
You were a gift to us all, sent to spread God's unique love, light and message of sisterhood.
Your faith was inspiring as was your personality.
I will always remember the Bible study groups at your Ramsbury home, Bedwyn walks and stimulating conversations in the garden during Covid years. You never once complained about your health but rejoiced in your faith and your lovely family. Meeting Arlen for the first time you were deep in conversation with him in no time. That was your unique gift!
May your soul rejoice in the eternal bliss and love that you gave to others.
With much love and respect.
Mina, Arlen and Rodney
may the pangs of missing cherished Viv, be transformed by hopeful trusting in God's Son, just as she did. Come whatever, forever. Her tough tenderness in facing up to Him, continues to inspire.
She so exampled sacrificially living by His Words. While humbly admitting flaws, I was included closely to catch hold of a holy different well being pattern. Her giving-til-it-hurts friendship leaves many indelible marks. Shared care+prayer for our loved ones, both natural & spiritual, was incalculably beneficial.
Truly she 'did not faint' through life's seasons. Fulfilling fighting, finishing & remaining faithful (2 Tim 4:7,8). Anticipate seeing her again in the not too distant!
Mark & I offer our love & prayers to her beautiful grieving family.
Love from Grant, John and Hilary Barnes
