Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vivian Louise Green, born on March 13th, 1982 in Washington D.C., to Ricky and Penny Crutchfield. She was a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, who left us too soon on August 1, 2025, at the age of 43. Her vibrant spirit, infectious smile, and boundless love will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Vivian was deeply devoted to her family. As a wife, sister, and aunt, she showed unwavering love and loyalty to those she held dear. Her family meant everything to her, and she poured her heart into creating lasting memories with those she loved. Whether it was through small acts of care or big gestures of support, she was always there for the people in her life.

Vivian loved God with all her heart and lived her life with a sense of grace, humility, and kindness that reflected her deep belief. She was a woman who found strength and comfort in her faith, and she shared that with those around her.

Vivian was a kind and genuine friend. She had an incredible ability to make others feel seen and valued, always offering her time, listening ear, and a warm, encouraging word. Her kindness and generosity of spirit will forever be remembered by everyone who knew her.

Vivian spent most of her life growing up in Montgomery County, Maryland. She attended Pine Crest Elementary, Sligo Middle, and Wheaton High School where she met the love of her life, Levart (Levy) Green.

Vivian valued her role at Montgomery 311, where she found fulfillment in assisting the community as a service agent.

Vivian is survived by her husband, Levart Green; her mother, Pennie; her in-laws Leona Bogan and Pearline Alexander; her siblings: Hope, April (Darrel), Loria, Ricky Jr. (Ashby), Chavon, Nicky (Richard), Angel, Megan (Brian), Carlos and Holly; her nieces and nephews: Tamya, Taliyah, Jayda, Dillian, Darrel Jr., Kori, Isaac, Easton, Juliano, Sakaya, Maliyah, Sabali, London, Brianna, Logan, Aalayah, Tyron Jr., Nayliah, Tyler, and Ra’ziyah; and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ricky, and her older sister, Catherine, both of whom she dearly missed.

Though her time with us was far too short, Vivian's legacy of love and joy will endure in the memories she created and the countless lives she touched. She was the heart of every family gathering and a light in the lives of those who knew her. We will forever cherish her laughter, her spirit, and her unwavering kindness.

My heart aches with the suddenness of this loss, but my love for you remains eternal. I just wasn't ready to accept any of this Vi. Not the illness and definitely not God calling his daughter to rest so soon. But I know God saw the road was getting rough and the hills became harder to climb, so he gently closed your loving eyes and whispered peace be thine. Rest on baby girl... no more sickness, no more pains, your safe in the loving arms of God. Well done my love, you ran your race, and fought a good fight. Your 30 plus years of memories will forever be with me. To the family and friends please be encouraged and stay strong. Above all stay together and lean on one another during this difficult time of bereavement. May God give you peace above all understanding, comfort, strength, courage, wisdom, and a sound mind. I love you all. ❤️🙏🏽🕯🕊😢
