Obituary
Vincent Coppola, age 85, passed away on April 24, 2026. Born on December 8, 1940, Vincent spent early years in Branford, Connecticut, until his later years in Mount Carmel, Tennessee, where he built close friendships and enjoyed an active retirement.
Vincent was known for his sharp mind and strong opinions, qualities that served him well in a successful career as an electrical engineer. He contributed his talents to both Pitney Bowes and Whelen Engineering, earning the respect of colleagues for his dedication and expertise.
A man of diverse interests, Vincent found joy in gardening, playing golf, and, in his earlier days, engaging in physical work like splitting wood and playing softball. He was an enthusiastic sports fan, following football and baseball closely. Camping and cross-country travel, including a memorable trip to Alaska, were among his favorite adventures.
Vincent moved to Tennessee in 2004 and quickly became part of the local community. He cherished the friendships he formed and made the most of his retirement years.
He is survived by his son, Mark Coppola, and two grandchildren, Mason and Christopher. Vincent was previously married to Roberta Nordon. He held his Christian faith close throughout his life.
A funeral service will be announced at a later date.
Vincent Coppola will be remembered by those who knew him for his intelligence, strength of character, and genuine enjoyment of life's many experiences.
