Verne Ullrich Obituary

Verne S. Ullrich, 78, of Manchester, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Manchester, NH to the late Alfred and Frances (Stewart) Ullrich.

Verne graduated from Manchester High School West in 1967 and attended Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia where he earned his Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education Degrees. Verne went on to teach English at Manchester High School West for 35 years and took great pride and joy coaching and teaching students.

Verne loved the great outdoors, landscaping and spending time with his family. He was loved by all who knew him and was truly the kindest, most gentle soul. He will be missed immensely.

Verne is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years: Gloria (Prospere) Ullrich; his two children: Matthew Ullrich, Christine Roberts and her husband Andrew; his two brothers: Ronald Ullrich, Neil Ullrich and his wife Cyndy; his two sisters: Virginia Swierz and her husband Frank, Maureen Brooks and her husband Gregg; his six grandchildren: Ava and Keil Ullrich, Emma, Matthew, Jonathan and Timothy Roberts; and many nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Committal prayers will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd, Manchester at 12pm.
