In the 1970’s in Albion, Vennie and I were in a women’s improvisational dance group called Only One Monkey. We practiced weekly and performed locally. Good times!

Sending comfort and strength to Bodhi and Forrest and all of Vennie’s loved ones and family. May Vennie’s memory be a blessing.

vennie, may her memory be as a blessing. condolences to bodhi and forest and the grandchildren. she loved you fiercely. memories of vennie are of passion, courage and excitement to learn how to do things, like fix engines. honesty, exuberant laughter, perseverance. vennie noticed and appreciated beauty, as birdsong, and fun, as baseball. vennie yancy, may the rest of your journey home be in the deep peace that passes understanding,

I worked with Vinnie for many years. I have very fond memories of the long conversations we had over a cup of coffee in the break room. I am so thankful that I got to know her, she made going to work so much easier and fun.
My sincere condolences to her family.

I didn't know Venny well during our North High years as I had traveled to Arizona from New Jersey the summer before we were freshmen. But I always admired her sense of humor and intelligence when we began corresponding on Face-Book. She had spunk, gifted us with happiness, and obviously held compassion for Mother Nature's, animals, stadium ball games, and the world 's political activities. I shall miss her every day.

Vennie and I were friends in the 60’s. I mostly remember that she was very sweet and so beautiful. We reconnected recently (50 years later) on Facebook. I was so happy to once again share her life. I loved her posts. I was proud of her hard work to protect vulnerable animals, our planet and our democracy.
