...Always look on the bright side of life!
(Trevor's last known words before he passed!)
Trev, dad, mate.
Trevor: dad, husband and a good friend to many, passed away peacefully on 26 March 2026. Cecilia, Krystal and Mark were with him, there was humour in the room, even in his last moments of life! His wishes were 'not to make a fuss' when his time came, so this is our way of honouring him. Please upload your memories, thoughts, stories and photos you wish to share on this page. We intend to have a memorial for Trevor later in 2026, the details we will share when arrangements have been made.
May dad rest in peace, we love you forever.

I have known Trevor since I was a Child, and have always known him to be a kind, cheerful and good genuine person. A wise and interesting man who you could always have a good conversation with.
He has lived a long fulfilling life accross the world, and may he now rest in peace

Uncle Trevor, time truly flies. 27 years have passed in the blink of an eye. I will always be deeply grateful to you and Auntie Cecilia for the love and care you gave me during my time in Bristol. Those days are precious and unforgettable.
You will be greatly missed, and you remain constantly in my prayers. May God bless your family abundantly and grant you eternal peace. You are always in my thoughts and in my heart.
With my warmest love, Ernest

In memory of our beloved Trevor
For over 44 years, you were family. From the days of sharing an office, you were like a big brother to me, patiently coaching me when I was new to the office. Thankful to you in teaching me how to write good reports. Thank you for trusting me as a young lady to babysit Mark and Krystal. Watching them grow up as their godparents has been one of our greatest joys.
We have so many fond memories—catch up talks filled with laughter at your jokes, the way you beamed as a proud dad and granddad, and being a loving husband. We treasure the times that felt like a family reunion whenever you and Cecilia stayed with us in Hong Kong. I was so pleased you always liked and wore the funny shirts and T-shirts I found for you. Good to see your happy face on every occasion.
Going through the old photos brought back so many fond memories. It makes me smile, but also makes my heart heavy knowing you are no longer with us! Big Brother, we will always remember you! May you Rest In Peace!
We send our deepest condolences to Cecilia Mark, Krystal and the family.
With all our love, always,
Mariana, Kevin, Conan, and Connor

Cecilia, Krystal and Mark my deepest sympathy for your loss. What a wonderful tribute that you made to your Father Mark.I do have some photos of your trip to Vancouver circa '78 and I will try and locate them....
We met over half a century ago, as I came out of Marine Control and bumped into Trevor, who was resplendent in his new summer uniform, direct from PTS. We went on to share many moments of mirth at the Mariners’ Rest.
We remained friends from that time, until he went to glory.

Uncle Trevor has always been the kindest soul, giving so much heart into everything he does. No matter our distance, he always sent us xmas cards, a small gesture that meant so much. One of my favourite memories is when he set a full itinerary for my family when we visited London. There was so much care in his plans, he even made the effort to take me to the English National Ballet school, top of my wish list. Thank you for the memories and sharing your warmth whenever we were together. Rest in peace.

We're deeply saddened by the passing of a dear friend who was so closely connected with our family.
I always remember the time we visited Trevor & Cecilia in London. They both showed us around with such passion & pride. Wherever we went, he naturally drew a crowd-people were captivated by his storytelling, his remarkable ability to make the history feel so vivid & alive.
Trevor, your kindness & laughter will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, surrounded by love.

I always enjoyed Trevor's company, on and off the rugby field. Affable, generous with his time and possessing a great sense of humour, Trevor loved a joke, good or bad. My deep condolences to his family and may you now rest in peace, old friend 🙏

I met Trevor socially through rugby in Hong Kong in 1979, and whilst we were both in the Royal Hong Kong Police, we never actually worked together.
That said, I know Trevor was held in very his esteem and extremely well liked by all those who worked with him.
One of life’s characters, Trevor was a very affable, interesting and intelligent person.
To fully understand, and appreciate what a lovely, interesting, intelligent and modest man Trevor was, I would urge you to read his book which I will happily send to you online at no charge. (Contact me at djghk@hotmail.com.)
Rest in Peace, Trevor.
Condolences to your family

A fine cheerful and ever reliable friend and family man. Much missed by all who knew him. RIP big fella.

Trevor was our resident big brown bear. Rearing up and sallying forth on our behalf unfailingly with anyone, Council, Police, DJP, quite unafraid and always ready to fight for us! But also a gentle bear kind man who had a real care for people, I remember him laughing out of his window when my little Forrest at 4, had the hose out in the courtyard, aiming for well, Trevor. And meeting him sitting quietly on a bench on the Roman, taking in an afternoon sunbeam and sipping a cold drink and smiling. I will miss him. 🌠.

I met Trevor a few times through Celia. He came across as a gentle giant and a devoted husband no doubt. May you rest in peace Trevor. With love from Fung Ming.

We never worked in the same formation Trevor but we shared great time playing for the Police Casuals rugby team and took part together in many social activities. All great memories and I’m not surprised at what you said just before the end. This was your true character. RIP Trevor. You will not be forgotten.

Selamat jalan, adik.
Our paths didn't cross that much but we shared a few things:
A common inherited appalling sense of humour, a love of the places, people, cultures, tastes and smell of SE Asia, although mostly from opposite margins of the South China Sea.
You and Cecila forged a fine family to be proud of, as you went along

Dad, all your mates came to help when you needed them. They supported mum, they were generous, they were kind. They had stories and fondness of their relationship with you. They laughed a lot. That is the dad I know: selfless, gentle, endlessly curious and did everything to help others live to their full potential. Thank you for making me, you are my hero. I love you.
