If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.

A Life Well Loved
Forever in Our Hearts: Tommie Lee Battie IV
1999 – 2024
Tommie Lee Battie IV left this world far too soon at the age of 24, but in his short time here, he filled countless lives with unconditional love, laughter, and light.
Tommie’s love was unconditional—he accepted people exactly as they were and gave of himself freely. If you were someone he cared about, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for you. His loyalty ran deep, and his affection was always real which was shown through his signature long, tight hugs that could make any bad day better.
Tommie honored and deeply loved his Parents, as well as his Grandparent, Aunts and Uncles, holding them in the highest respect. He had a deep, unshakable pride in his siblings and cousins. They were his heart, and he looked out for them with devotion and strength. Tommie had a magnetic spirit, a natural confidence, and a sharp sense of humor that kept people laughing and close to him.
Tommie also lived life his own way. He loved to chillllll out, finding peace in those moments of calm. He had a true hustler’s spirit and was proud of his grind and he loved making money, setting goals, and working toward his own version of success. He was real about what he enjoyed, and he owned it without apology.
Tommie lived with heart, humor, and a raw, beautiful honesty that will never be forgotten. His love knew no conditions. He accepted people just as they were, without judgment. He had a rare gift for making others feel seen, valued, and safe simply by being himself. His memory lives on in every person who felt his love, heard his laugh, or shared a moment of real connection with him.
He will always be remembered. Always be missed. And always be loved.

You grew into an incredible young man, one we were all proud to know. Though your time with us was far too short, your spirit, your laughter, and your legacy will live on in all of us who had the honor of knowing you. We’ll carry your memory with us always.
Rest easy, Tommie, you will never be forgotten.
Love Aunt Debbie

That was us, ALL of us, growing up together, going on adventures, having sleepovers, family vacations, and traditions. The world, our family, won’t be the same.
As we grew older, our bond deepened. We shared late-night conversations, learned from each other, and supported each other through life's ups and downs. He had a distinct way of making you feel valued and understood. I'll never forget when I sat in his Lexus, and he said "Cuzzo no matter what keep your head up." And it was the tone in his voice that brought comfort and peace, that everything would be okay.
Tommie IS a loving brother, an exceptional son, grandson, nephew, and a loyal cousin and friend. He was all of the above. He is truly one of a kind, the realest.
He had the biggest heart. He inspired people. He believed in people. My cousin had a positive impact on my life and everyone that was close to him. He taught me how to be calm and composed even in a situation when you are facing a whirlpool.
I wish I could hear his laugh again, hug him, or see him walking up the driveway with my boys running up to him. He would say, “Hey, pookie dookies!” He was just funny like that.
Our hearts will forever have that hole that you can’t fill...
You may have left, but the memories never will. I’ll miss you forever, Tommie. Rest in peace, cuzzo. It’s never goodbye. It’s see you later.

“ Happy birthday li kuz dis all i got in my pocket right now” ..
“Aye Mari play dat cram real quick (misunderstood - rod wave) ..
Oh how i would love to sing our hearts out together one last time. not a day goes bye that i don't wish that night was different. The “ be safe “ messages, the “ wait your turn , its coming” everything you ever told me had MEANING and held weight. and everything you taught me i’ll take to my grave. Tommie you’re the definition of a FAMILY MEMBER and real brother i miss ya nigga 💔 . nvr goodbye ill see yu later 🤞🏾.

His heart is the kind that radiates goodness — unfiltered, unwavering, and pure. He loves with a sincerity that words cannot express.
One of my favorite memories of Pooh is of him as a child dancing with such joy, completely lost in the music. It was impossible not to smile watching him. That same energy followed him as he grew, touching everyone lucky enough to know him. He has a gift for making people feel seen and loved, and he gives that gift freely, never seeking recognition or expecting anything in return.
Now, our days are quieter. Dimmer. Changed in ways I never imagined possible. The space he fills in my life is immeasurable, and the emptiness now left by his absence is profound. Through this ache, I hold on to his light — the laughter, the memories, the love that will never fade.
He changed my world. Loving him taught me how to more deeply, more fully.
I miss him more than words can capture. I will carry his love with me — always.
