Thomas David Kuder, Sr.

But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

Job 23:10-12

Obituary

Thomas Kuder, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30th 2024. He was surrounded with the love of his family before embracing the gates of his new heavenly home.

Tom was born in Michigan and later lived in Tennessee before moving to Ohio in 1987. Tom enjoyed karaoke, cooking, and for a short bit, traveling with friends on his motorcycle. His favorite passion was reading books of devotion and more importantly the bible.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Irene Kuder, and his two brothers, Chuck and Don Kuder. He is survived by his devoted wife, Diana Kuder of 56 years, and their five children: Sharon and (Frank) Watson, Thomas and (Kim) Hughes,
Steven Kuder, Matthew and (Brandi) Kuder, and Melisa and (Sean) Daveiga. Thomas was a proud grandfather to 19 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and his sister (Bonnie Killingbeck).

Thomas was known for his unwavering faith and dedication to the Lord. Although he did not live a life of perfection, he stayed true to his faith. He was called into ministry and touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, August 11th, from 1 PM to 5 PM at The Little Mater Farm, located at 7867 OH-185, Covington, OH 45318.

In the words of Matthew 25:21, " His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."

May Thomas’s memory be a blessing and a source of inspiration to all who loved him.

Papaw,
I love and miss you so much. I’ll always remember the fun times we had during elementary when you babysat Gavin and I. You brought us cookies every single day after school. Gavin always tried to eat mine, so I would lick every single cookie so he couldn’t eat them. You always found that funny. Anytime I visited, you and Nana had a candy bar waiting for me. I loved hearing all of your stories, especially the ones from the time you and Nana worked in a nursing home. You always called me your “beautiful granddaughter,” which always made me smile. I remember during some of our last visits, I made you peanut butter crackers and you said they were better than a steak dinner. You loved reading the word of God, and helped me grow in my faith. You inspired me to be a better person, and a better Christian. I’ll never forget our cherished visits together, and how much you loved my Nana. You helped me become the person that I am today. You always made me laugh, and I know without a doubt that you loved me so much! You were the best grandpa any one could ever ask for.

There are so many memories we shared—so many laughs, and yes, sometimes tears. Through it all, I am so grateful to be your daughter. We had countless adventures together, from our grocery shopping escapades and recipe exchanges to our spontaneous road trips.

I’ll never forget our impromptu trip to New York. Exploring Central Park, taking the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty, and somehow making it all back home in just 24 hours. I have to admit, I was probably driving WAY TOO FAST while you peacefully slept in the passenger seat. Those moments are now cherished treasures in my heart.

Dad, I miss you more than words can express. It’s hard to believe you’re gone, but I take comfort knowing you are no longer suffering. Thank you for helping shape me into the person I am today. I carry your love and lessons with me always.

I love you so much.
