I first met Thomas and Raewyn when they first moved to motueka. This hugh Maori man married to this tiny but fiesty white lady. The first thing I noticed about Tom aside from his size was his mouth like a sewer lol. They babysat for me we shared many black Russians. One of my enduring memories of Tom is him swinging off the rafters at Trish Frys 21st and then proceeding to vomit in the rsa gardens on the way home ahhh the good old days. Tom was proudest of all of his children he could bore for new zealand skiting about all their achievements he would have got a gold medal 😂 even they were overtaken by his mokopuna when they started to arrive.we were friends for 46 years and workmates for a lot of those I will miss his cheeky smile, a soft heart in a big body. Travel safe Tom you will be sorely missed 😢 ❤️

Some of the memories we hold closest to our hearts are the simplest ones, and I will always treasure the memories I have of you, Uncle Thomas.
I remember when I was living in Wellington and you came to visit us one Christmas. We each had some bread each, and somehow the biggest battle was always over who got the bacon fat! Such a little thing, but it's a memory that has stayed with me all these years. I also remember swinging from your arms, feeling like I could hang on forever.
Those moments might have seemed ordinary at the time, but looking back, they mean so much. It's funny how the smallest childhood memories can become some of the biggest treasures in our hearts.
Although you're no longer here, those memories will always be with me.
You may be gone, Uncle Thomas, but you will never be forgotten. Thank you for being my uncle and giving me memories I'll carry for a lifetime.

Welcomed me into the family from day 1.
Always so generous with your time. You taught me how to sharpen knives (im still pretty sh*t at it). Mina and Lani will learn all about their Coco as they get older. Miss you heaps already Tom.
