Leaving, I hate to see you cry

Grieving, I hate to say good-bye

Dust and ash forever, yeah

Though I know we must be parted

As sure as stars are in the sky

I'm gonna see when it comes to glory

And I'll see you, I'll see you on the other side

Yes, I'll see you, I'll see you on the other side."

Obituary

Thomas William Bush at the age of 64 years, passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 1, 2025. Tom was born in San Pedro, California on August, 2, 1960 to his parents Thelma Marie Bush and Charles Thomas Bush. He attended San Pedro High School, graduated in 1978. He went on to work with his dad who worked at San Pedro Glass and went on to be a glazier. He spent a good portion of time living in Idaho where he continued his career as a glass worker. He had a great love of animals, especially his dog Sonny who went with him everywhere. Things that may make you think of Tom are his many tattoos, love of rock music and motorcycles, as well as his love of the outdoors, fishing, hunting or riding jetskis at the lake.
Tom is preceded in death by both his parents. He is survived by his two daughters Kayla Bush and Robyn France as well as their mother Perdita Poe, his grandson Aaden France, and his sisters Lucinda Roberts and Sandra Ward. He was well loved by his nieces and nephew and their children. Tom cherished time with his extended family and his close friends and he will be fondly remembered by them for that.

His family held a small private service to honor him, there was no public service. Please feel free to add memories and photos to this tribute page to honor and share about him and his life.

One of my earliest memories of my dad is standing on his feet, mostly his work boots, and dancing with him. He would lift his feet and guide us around. I loved this as a kid and the memory of it stuck with me so much that for a father's day gift I gave him a frame with a photo of me at 4 years old and him at a similar age, with a poem I wrote in the middle. His love of music was strong all the way until his last days and I will always hold these memories close to me when I think of him or hear his favorite songs. I love you dad.
