Obituary

Terry was a cheerful man with a great sense of humour and an easy smile. He was a loving brother, a proud Dad, and a loyal friend to many. He had a deep love for music and spent many happy hours playing his guitar. He loved the open road and riding his motorcycle. Terry loved spending time with the friends and family he loved so dearly. A good night for Terry, was him surrounded by his greatest friends playing the music he loves, or roadtrips on his motorcycle with his brothers.

Terry is deeply missed by his daughter, Chelsea, and his stepdaughter, Ashley. He was a dear brother to Barbara Edgley, Peggy Goodmurphy (Earl), Jerry (Riki), William, Linda Timleck (Larry), and Morris. Also survived by many nieces and nephews who all loved him. 
 
He was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Effie Shaver.

Terry will be remembered for his laughter, his kindness, and the way he made people feel welcome. He will be missed by all who knew him. To know Terry, was to love him.

Terry was amazing playing guitar. He played Stairway to Heaven like the original guitarist. It was my fav song. He tried to teach me how to play the song. I remember how bad I was, but he was patient and really dummies it down. As much as possible. After a month and a lot of laughing I think I could play the first line so it was semi recognizable. He was very patient though, he didn't give up. I never did learn that song. A good time though, he had that to really funny laugh.

I will forever cherish the Friday and Saturday nights we would spend walking around blockbuster, with "fresh" popcorn in hand and we would walk every single isle. We would always have a stack of movies at the end of it that we would then take home and watch for the weekend. Dad loved movies just as much as I do! He used to say I should be a movie critic when I grow up because I could quote movies as I was watching them. I think it drove him a little crazy, but he still let me quote them anyway!

My Dad was part of the skidoo club growing up, so many memories on a sled. Something that sticks in my brain the most - Dad built this little caboose that he could pull behind the sled. He was a welder too so he knew how to do these things! He built this caboose, we would pile into the back of it and he would take us on rides! It was so fun.. except for the time it fell off the back and Dad didn't notice right away so he kept driving for a little bit! But he came back :)

I will never forget the year he got my sister and I bunnies for Easter! My dad loved animals, just as much as I did. He surprised us with real bunnies for easter... imagine that as a kid! Truly so special. He built them the best enclosure, both indoor and outdoor!
