To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.
Obituary
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Stephan DeWayne Epperson, who was born on June 24, 1973 and passed away on April 22, 2026 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Stephan, a devoted husband to Christina, father to Brianna, and grandfather to Lyric and Zander, passed away leaving behind a legacy of loyalty, strength, and quiet kindness.
He was a man who loved deeply and lived with conviction. He loved God, his family, and his country. Loyal to a fault, he stood firmly by those he cared about, offering unwavering support through life’s ups and downs. He shared a special bond with his mother, Brenda, whom he loved dearly, and carried that same depth of love into his own family.
Known for his playful spirit, he had a way of teasing that brought laughter to those around him. He cherished his friends and valued those relationships throughout his life.
He took pride in the symbols that mattered to him, especially his love for eagles and the American flag, which reflected his deep sense of identity and values. While he could be stubborn at times, it was that same determination that made him a man who got things done. When something needed doing, he saw it through.
Thoughtful in both word and action, he often showed his care in quiet, meaningful ways. His presence brought strength and steadiness to his family, and his absence will be deeply felt.
He leaves behind his loving wife, child, grandchildren, and his sister, Andrea, along with many extended family members and friends whom he loved very much. He leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and will carry his memory forward with gratitude and love. He will be remembered always for his loyalty, his humor, his determination, and the love he gave so freely.
Isaiah 40:28 Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the faint,
and strengthens the powerless.
30 Even youths will faint and be weary,
and the young will fall exhausted;
31 but those who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength,
they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint.
