Obituary

Stan Dale Wilson
January 29, 1960 – March 20, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stan Wilson on March 20, 2025, at the age of 65. Stan courageously battled cancer before ultimately succumbing to the disease. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Alison, and their two children, Courtney and Connor. He also leaves behind his parents, Ken and Lucille; his sister, Kathy; and his brothers, Kenny and Steve.

Stan was known for his kind heart, quick wit, and passion for the outdoors. He lived for family trips, snow skiing, motocross, boating, waterskiing, and mountain biking—always up for an adventure and always the one to bring the fun.

Professionally, Stan worked as a heavy equipment owner/operator and specialized in motor grader operation and construction site execution for over 35 years. He was deeply respected in his field for his integrity, loyalty, and unwavering dedication to hard work.

In addition to his family, Stan will be deeply missed by his extended network of friends and colleagues. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Stan will be forever remembered for his love and dedication to Alison, Courtney, and Connor—and for his relentless zest for life. He knew life was short, and he lived it fully. He made each day count.
Live like Stan. 😎

We just heard of Stan’s passing and are deeply saddened to hear the news.

Stan was a force of positive energy and optimism, and we will always remember him for that. When we coached Little League together and cheered for our kids in soccer, Stan was always upbeat and smiling. He was a genuine soul who truly cared about all the people in his life. Let’s hope that all of the kindness and support he shared with others is a legacy that will live on within all of us who had the pleasure to know him.

Extending our deepest sympathies and condolences to Alison, Courtney and Connor.

In Loving Memory of Stan Wilson

It is with a heavy heart that we celebrate the life of Stan Wilson, a cherished friend, roommate, and groomsman, Stans friendship was special, it's hard to explain, but there was a bond that could never be broken. Stan was not only a friend, he was family.

From our earliest days as roommates, Stan's personality and infectious laughter filled our home with warmth and friendship. His enthusiasm for life and unwavering support made even the simplest moments memorable. Whether we were headed to the Delta for an early morning waterski to the mountains of Squaw Valley, Motorcross riding, Jets Skiing, or traveling to Mexico for bachelor party. Stan's presence was a constant source of Fun, Fun and more Fun.

As a groomsman, Stan stood by my side, reflecting the loyalty and camaraderie that defined our friendship. He was more than just a witness to life's significant moments; he was a pivotal part of them, offering wisdom, humor, and encouragement when it was needed most.

Stan had an incredible ability to make everyone feel valued and understood, and his kindness knew no bounds. Those who knew him well appreciated his quick wit and generous spirit, traits that he shared freely with all who crossed his path.

Though words can hardly capture the depth of our loss, they remind us of the incredible impact Stan had on all our lives. While we mourn the departure of a remarkable friend, we also celebrate his legacy—a legacy defined by love, laughter, and an unwavering zest for life and family.

Rest in peace, Stan. You will be dearly missed, but your spirit will forever remain a guiding light in our hearts.

So sorry to hear of the passing of an old treasured friend. Although we had lost touch over the past several years, I will always remember some of the best times of my life spent on the lakes and slopes with my oldest and dearest 80's-90's group of friends. Whether it was snow, water, or jet skiing, and let's not forget the Bonair, those were always the best of times. If it weren't for Stan, I would have probably never experienced the excitement (sharp, needling pain) of attempting barefoot water skiing, the thrill (horror) of trying to keep up with experienced dirt bike riders on the smallest bike he could find for me, or the courage (no other options) of following him down a black diamond slope I had no business being on! Jokes aside, Stan and I were roommates for a short time. He welcomed me into his space after my divorce, and helped me through a difficult time. Lots of jet-skiing and late night jam sessions, and a memorable week in Hawaii I'll never forget. I learned a lot from Stan about living life each day to the fullest. Great memories of a great man. RIP my friend.

Rick met Stan many years ago, as he was coaching Connor in basketball. Stan and Rick had similar coaching styles and had a great mutual respect for each other, both being coaches and their love of several sports!
Fast forward a few years later and Alison & I met while working out. We quickly realized we had more in common than just our exercise class. We became fast friends!
Over the years we’ve had many wonderful times together, as couples! We’ve traveled to Mexico, Nashville, wine tasting in Paso, and countless more dinners together. It’s rare to find people that you have such similar interests with and can travel so well together. We hit the jackpot with Stan & Alison, they were our dear friends!
Stan’s love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life. He loved Courtney & Connor so much! He was so very proud of them! Stan’s face would just light up when he spoke about his children!
To watch Stan look at Alison was pure love! He adored Alison and would go to the ends of the earth for her! It was so beautiful!
Stan is so very missed! We miss his laugh, his smile, his smart ass responses, his stories, and his willingness to try anything! We miss our buddy, our traveling partner, our dinner companion, and our friend!
Rick will miss Stan’s love of old fashion’s. I will miss our Stanley!
Thank you to Alison, Courtney, and Connor for sharing your incredible husband, father, and our friend! He’s gone too soon! Our hearts are breaking for all that we’re blessed to have known, this incredible man
May we all live like Stan!!
Love and miss you dearly,
Rick & Sherri Silver
