Sophie Dolo

To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.
Obituary
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Sophie Dolo, who was born on 29 May 1978 in Taung and passed away on 28 June 2025 in Rustenburg.
She was the first daughter of Patricia Nkie Diole. She started her schooling in Taung village at Khibitswane Primary and completed her matric at Lethola High School. She then furthered her studies at Regent Academy College where she pursued Tourism and Business. She was a baptized member of Jehovah's witness and was a God-fearing woman who lived through her belief and not only spoke of them. She dearly loved her family and would go to the corners of the earth for them. Sophie was a humble, soft-spoken, kind-hearted, goal-driven, go-getter, and a relentless individual. Sophie could lighten sombre room with her social and interpersonal skills. Sophie was an individual who more often than not put other people's needs before her own. Her generosity was part of her special character. She would calmly deal with any situation thrown at her, one would say she was the Chief Executive Officer of World Peace. She was a loving, caring and present wife to her husband Mr Matlhomola Abe Dolo. The two lovebirds got married in May 2011, and they were blessed with four beautiful children, Thabi, Rorisang, Oratile and Lefa Dolo. She was compassionate, nurturing and run-to-person to her three siblings Mpho, Thabang & Rea. Her personality blended so well with her family-in-love that she became unnoticeable as one from love but as one of their own. She started her work career at Ananda hotel in Rustenburg then later on worked at Woolworths retailer. She was diligent but passionate leader.
She then became co-owner and manager of Chairoteer trading with her loving husband managing the following:
•Kalinga Trading - Specialising in Hospitality - Rustenburg
•Waterval Laundromat service - Rustenburg
•Waterval Kiosk - Rustenburg
•Sophy's Guest House - Safari Tuine.
•Marlotti Guest House - Swartruggens.
•Travellers Inn - Rustenburg.
•Hot Chicks - Boshoek
She will be dearly missed by Family, Friends, Neighbours and her Employees

Sophie, you were more than my niece — you were my bestie. We grew up right there in Masimo, in that farming community, and from early on you had that fire for life and for building things.
I’ll always remember walking alongside you through both sides of it: the entrepreneurial ideas you’d come up with at all hours, and the real-life obstacles we had to tackle together. You never backed down, and you made the hard stuff feel lighter just by being in it with you.
Masimo shaped us, but you had a way of making everywhere you went feel like home. I’m grateful for every memory, every laugh, and every plan we dreamed up. Rest easy, Motlogolo. Your spirit is still with us in that community and in everyone you touched.

You were an amazing human being, Sophie Dolo; heaven has really gained an angel. Continue resting in eternal peace my dear sister 💐💕.

Sometimes I wish that we could talk like we used to. They say time heals but I feel that is a scam. Oooooh I still feel your love around me. I always cherish our memories and I'm grateful for always being the best mamogolo to my kids. You will always be loved and I miss you more than words can say.
