It is with a heavy heart that I remember my dear Aunt Sonia, whose kindness, warmth, and infectious laughter touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. I was fortunate to spend time with her both in Jamaica, during my visits there, and on the occasions when she visited us in England. Each of these moments is etched in my memory, filled with the joy and comfort that she so effortlessly brought into our lives.
Aunt Sonia had a unique ability to make those around her laugh, no matter the circumstances. Her sense of humour was a gift, one that brightened even the darkest of days. But it wasn't just her laughter that made her special—it was her wisdom. She had a way of offering advice spoken from the heart.
To many, Aunt Sonia was more than just a relative; she was a mother, a friend, and a guiding light. Her compassion knew no bounds, and she gave of herself freely, always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and generosity.
I will always remember her smile, the way it could light up a room and bring warmth to any situation. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit and the memories we shared will continue to live on in our hearts.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of our dear Sonia. Her warmth and generosity touched so many lives, including mine. She was instrumental in guiding me to our Sunday school class, and I will forever cherish the moments spent with her. Her vibrant spirit, her joyous anniversary celebration, and the sweets she so lovingly shared brought so much joy to our Sundays. I am grateful for the last conversation we had, which I will hold close to my heart. My heartfelt condolences go out to Debbie, Melissa, and the entire family during this difficult time. Her presence will be profoundly missed, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew her.

I'm deeply saddened by the loss of 'Grandma' Sonia. My heart goes out to you (her family) during this difficult time. I'll always cherish the memories of her beautiful smile and infectious laughter.
I'll miss seeing her at church, sitting beside her, and sharing in her joy. Her wonderful sweets and bubbly personality made every encounter a delight. I feel grateful to have shared in the celebration of her 50th wedding anniversary, surrounded by love and cherished moments.
Please know that you, her family, are in my thoughts and prayers. May the love and support of those around you bring comfort during this difficult time. And may you cherish and find comfort in the wonderful memories of the time she spent on earth. May her soul rest in peace and perpetual light shine upon her.
With love and sympathy.

In the quiet whispers of dawn's first light,
I feel your warmth, your love, so bright.
You were my anchor, my guiding star,
In every memory, near and far.
Grandma, your heart was pure, so kind,
A treasure of love, forever enshrined.
You gave me laughter, joy untold,
Your spirit, a legacy of gold.
You were the sun in my darkest days,
With tender hands and gentle ways.
Your love was a melody, sweet and true,
In every note, I found strength anew.
Now as you rest in heaven’s embrace,
I hold your memory, a sacred place.
Though my heart ache with sorrow’s touch,
I will forever cherish you, love you so much.
Sleep well, dear grandma, in peace above,
Wrapped in the arms of eternal love.
Your light will guide me, until we meet,
In the place where hearts and souls complete.
Love you forever and always

As your grandchildren in England we called you grandma, and knew you as grandma in Jamaica with the mango, ackee and guinep tree. I am so glad that I was able to visit you in 2022, though I feel a deep sadness because I didn't know that would have been the last time or that you would have gone so soon after grandma Gwendolyn Malcolm, who sadly passed in early summer this year. I'm forever grateful that my husband was able to meet you and hear the stories you and grandad shared about our family history and your experiences of when you lived in the UK. We remember spending the time laughing and talking about music and tv. These memories we both will cherish and hold dear to our hearts. Rest in peace grandma, we will see you on that great morning x
