Your legacy of love will forever light our way.
Obituary
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Sir Kurtis Alexander Howard, better known as Alex. He was born April 30, 1989, and lived life for 37 years until June 30, 2026. He was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2015 and spent the next decade fighting for his life. Through countless hospital stays, procedures, and setbacks, he kept getting back up. During the isolation of COVID, he spent time in the hospital alone, with his children sometimes only able to see him through a hospital window. Even then, he held on for the people he loved.
Alex was a protector to his core, a middle child who often felt like he had to be the glue that held his family together. He was the kind of man who would give you his last shirt or his last dollar if you needed it. He loved his kids fiercely and doted on them every chance he got, and he loved his Power Rangers and his other collections, his music, and his games.
He is survived by his loving partner of seven years, his “Beautiful One” Raelynn Anderson; his children, Jeiden and Jazmin, his beloved “Big Heads,” and Damian; his parents, Chelle and Curtis Jr.; and his siblings Charles, Michelle, his older twin brother James (by a minute!), his younger brother Trae, and his youngest sister Jesika. His aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. Along with his many friends throughout his life, both in the Yakima, Washington area and in the Corvallis, Oregon area, will forever remember him as the caring, loving person that he was.
