Shaun Graham Cairns

Please accept our deepest condolences. A good heart has stopped beating, but a heart that has touched so many lives can’t help but live on in those it loved. Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us in our hearts and memories. Our thoughts and love are with you Brandon, Tehya, Allen, Sharon, Lupe and all the families.

I knew Shaun back in his late teens and Apprenticeship days. He was every bit the fun, generous, funny and hardworking larrikin that his loved ones still describe him as today. I recall his love for the ‘ Queen’ band back in the day, and he was never short of a drink or smoke. Although I haven’t seen him in a few decades, I am saddened to hear of his passing. I felt the need to pass on my condolences to his amazing children, and loved ones who have lost a very special human. May he rest in peace and I hope his family can take some comfort in knowing that he was a great man who has positively influenced so many lives. Thinking of you all at this sad time ❤️

I met Shaun back on 5th April 2019 in this photo celebrating Bretts Birthday. Straight up I could tell he was a cheeky, funny, loyal friend to Brett and Phil.(and loved swearing 🤣) Shaun welcomed me to stay in his home on many of my trips to Darwin for work and I soon learnt how important and how loved Brandon and Tehya were. They were his life and he was such a great Dad.
He always made me feel welcome and I know just how much he valued his friendship with Brett. They were both best of friends that were always there for each other through the good and tough times.

Going back through his FB page words that Lupe made for his last Birthday I feel totally sum up Shaun as a person and thank you Lupe for really describing him in this way as the words were perfect that you said.

“You possess qualities that set you apart from others - your kindness and generosity. These two traits shine through in everything you do. You’ve always go above and beyond to help others and your selfless acts of kindness have had a profound impact on so many lives “

My condolences to everyone that is grieving with the loss of Shaun.

Not only a personal friend to us all, Shaun, through Cairns Ind, was also a very valuable part of our operation team to make our big annual Campdraft and Rodeo the success it is.
In honour of Shaun's tireless contributions to the club through monetary sponsorship, machinery donations, man hours, materials - nothing was a problem, we have decided to name an event in his memory.
The Shaun Cairns Memorial Open Saddle Bronc, will be a prestigious title that Cowboys will chase for years to come.

Thanks Shaun for everything you have given to this great little Committee. We will sure miss you styled up in your camp chair at the southern end of the Rodeo arena in the tipper truck, under the Marquee this year, but we are sure the Cairns crew will make their presence known in your memory.
You were a true GEM to our small community.

A man larger than life itself. Generous and loving whose world was his children....so many dreams to fulfil but robbed of the opportunity to fulfil them , He had a vision, sense of humour, always selfless...God speed our friend and boss man...we will meet again in the other world...life is not the same without you..❤️❤️
