"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted."- Matthew 5:4
Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Shanie Nicole LeBlanc, age 31, of North Vancouver, British Columbia, formerly of Moncton, New Brunswick, on January 4, 2026.
Shanie was a dedicated and passionate nurse who took immense pride in her work and the care she provided to others. She spent many years serving in the Emergency Department at The Moncton Hospital and later continued her calling in Psychiatric Emergency (PEAT) at Lions Gate Hospital. Her coworkers were more than colleagues—they were family, bonded by shared compassion and respect.
Above all, Shanie will be remembered as a deeply loving daughter, granddaughter, and friend. Her kindness, empathy, and unwavering loyalty left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Shanie embraced life fully, with a love for travel, adventure, and life’s simple indulgences. She valued meaningful moments, treasured time with loved ones, and had a remarkable ability to bring warmth, comfort, and light wherever she went.
Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her parents, Renée LeBlanc and Joey Levigne; her grandparents, Maurice and Gisele; and Raymond and Beatrice; and her beloved pup Leo.
She will also be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her uncles and aunts Martin (Chantal), Denys (Carly), Claude (Nadine), Tammy (Drew), Christine (Raphael), and Terry; her cousins Samuel, Gabrielle, Bennett, Malcolm, Lennan, Patrick, Joelle, and Isabelle; and her dear friends Mel, their children Caleb and Luca; and her best friend Kenia and daughter Ellie.
Our condolences are also extended to the Mazerolle family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Shanie’s memory may be made to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation.
