Obituary

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Scott, who was born on June 9th 1958 and passed away on September 27th 2026 in Toronto.


Scott will be remembered for kindness, generosity, and the quiet ability to bring people together. Family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues all experienced the warmth and sincerity that made time spent with Scott meaningful.

Throughout life, Scott was a devoted Husband, nurturing Father and doting Grandpa. He was so fun, funny, and able to get a smile out of just about anyone. Scott was humble, taking great pleasure in the simple things in life. As long as he had his dog, his cottage and a good movie, he was the happiest man on earth. 

Family meant a great deal to Scott, and relationships were always nurtured with patience and devotion. Friends valued loyalty and sincerity, while colleagues appreciated dedication and a thoughtful approach to work and collaboration.


The passing of Scott leaves a space that cannot be filled. Yet the memories, lessons, and moments shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know Scott.

Scott will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Knowing Val from a little village in the UK we got to meet Scott. We have lovely fond and funny memories of him, both when he visited the UK then later us visiting Scott Val and the boys in Canada xx

It is with great sadness hearing of Scotts passing, he put up a good fight and was blessed with many years to carry on. We feel so thankful to have spent more time with Scott through his remission. So many cherished memories over the years a lifetime of friendship and a presence that will be missed. A devoted husband, father and grandpa, a social happy, gentle man always with a story of a memory to share. When you get there friend have a cold one and say hi to Pete. We are Eels Lake cottage neighbours of Scott and Val. We met in 2011 when Scott and Sarah (the dog) came over to ask if Jerry (the electrician) could help fix his electrical problem. The problem got fixed and Scott being the super friendly person he was immediately became our dear cottage friend. Over the years we have relied on each other for help which was always graciously given and accepted. We very much miss him and the picture in our mind of his wonderful smile will always remain with us. Until we meet again dear friend. Yours Jerry and Eve Brousseau
