Your legacy of kindess will forever resonate in the lives you touched
Obituary
Sandra “Sandie” Schwartz, age 79, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 14, 1946, in Providence, Rhode Island.
Sandie grew up in Phoenix, where she graduated from Carl Hayden High School in 1964. In 1969, she married David Schwartz, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family. She was a cherished wife, a wonderful mother to her daughter Stephanie Miner and son Paul Schwartz, and a proud grandmother to Isaac, Natalie, and Stella Miner — who each carry her spirit in their hearts.
Sandie lived her life with grace, intention, and sincerity. She was known for her classic sense of style and tidiness, but it was her kindness and generosity that left the deepest impression. She was organized and thoughtful, always prepared for what came next, and always willing to say “yes” when someone needed her. Sandie had a gift for connection — she listened carefully, remembered details, and made people feel valued and seen.
Her honesty was gentle but unwavering. She faced life’s joys and challenges with quiet strength, humor, and a deep sense of loyalty to those she loved. She cherished a good movie, meaningful conversation, and the simple pleasure of being with family and friends. Her warmth filled every room she entered, and her thoughtfulness shaped countless relationships that lasted a lifetime.
Sandie is survived by her husband, David Schwartz; her daughter, Stephanie (James) Miner; her son, Paul Schwartz; her brothers Dwight and Jim Morton; and her grandchildren, Isaac, Natalie, and Stella Miner. She was preceded in death by her parents, Madison Morton and Lydia Linhares.
A celebration of Sandie’s life will be held on December 13, 2025, from 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Sun Village Community Center. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of her remarkable life.
Sandie will be remembered for her kindness, her integrity, and her endless capacity for love. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured and the friendships she treasured. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
