A beautiful soul, deeply loved and dearly missed.
Obituary
Sandra Rae Byars Barth, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and GG, passed away on July 6, 2024, at the age of 72. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Sandy's life was a testament to her faith in God, devotion to her family, and complete enjoyment of life.
Sandy is survived by her beloved family: her brothers Ray and Jay Byars, her sister Beverley Taylor, her devoted sons Ryan and Jason Barth, her daughters-in-law Rachelle and Keri Barth, her “grands”: Abby, Max, Riggs, Sawyer, and Colten Barth, many awesome nieces and nephews, and and her loyal companion, Maxi. Sandy received the most joy in life from her sacrificial commitment to her family. She was present at most every event and it was so evident how much she loved them.
A dedicated servant of the Lord, Sandy was deeply involved in her church, where she spent countless hours volunteering and pouring into the youth entrusted to her. She raised two incredible sons, who continue her devotion to God. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and providing solace to all those whom she has left behind.
Sandy is known for her profound love for the beach and her lifelong friendships. She found peace and happiness in deep conversation, the sound of the waves, and the warmth of the sun. Her smile and endless energy were hallmarks of her spunky personality. She never missed an opportunity to share a story or engage with those around her. Known for her endearing habit of being late, Sandy brought a unique charm to every occasion, reminding us that the best people in life are worth waiting for. She definitely was not late to Heaven.
Sandy's spirit and unwavering faith have left a lasting mark on all who knew her. As we say goodbye, we are heartbroken, but celebrate the incredible life she lived and the lasting legacy she leaves behind.
On August 24th at 10:00am, a service to honor Sandy's life will be held at Grace Point Church, where she spent many fulfilling years in fellowship and worship. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Grace Point Church's Student Camp Scholarships in Sandy's memory. https://gracepointsa.churchcenter.com/giving (Select the drop-down: "Student Camp Scholarships GPC Main.")
