Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.
Obituary
In Loving Memory of Salvador Mota
December 28, 1964 – July 30, 2025
Salvador 'Chava' Mota, a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, at the age of 60, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Nayarit, Mexico, on December 28, 1964, Salvador immigrated to the United States in his youth and settled in the San Fernando Valley, where he would spend most of his life. Those closest to Salvador knew him as someone who lived life on his own terms. He had a wild spirit and a complicated path, but at his core was a man who loved deeply—especially his dearly beloved mother, Ramona Lopez, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond.
Salvador is survived by his four children: Melissa, David, Frances, and Sarah; and five grandchildren: Joseph, Priscilla, Ezequiel, Jesus, and Josiah — each of whom carries a piece of his strength and spirit. Despite life’s challenges and personal struggles, his love for his children never wavered. He was present in the ways he knew how to be — always outgoing and ready to share a laugh with anyone who crossed his path.

Salvador’s life defied simple definition. It was imperfect, real, and full of heart. He leaves behind memories that will live on in his children and grandchildren, in the stories we tell, and in the quiet strength he passed down.
He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Services
Together, we will give thanks for the gift of his life and find comfort in the hope of eternal peace through Christ. We’ll share stories, laughter, and memories of Salvador—the man we all knew: stubborn, bold, unforgettable, and deeply loved.
While we mourn his passing, we also take comfort knowing he is no longer in pain and now rests in God’s loving care.
Your presence would mean a great deal to our family during this time of remembrance.
