To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.
Obituary
Ryan Forest Kinley, 30, of Long Beach, died on November 2, 2026. He was born on December 12, 1995, at Long Beach Memorial, the son of Matthew Kinley and the late Cheri Kinley.
He was always smiling, and he liked talking to people. He traveled to 24 countries, graduated from Wilson High School in Long Beach in 2014, and attended Long Beach City College. Horror was his subject. He collected it, and he knew the trivia cold. His favorite film was The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. He went to horror conventions, Halloween Horror Nights, and Knott’s Scary Farm, and he built haunted mazes of his own. The Press-Telegram wrote about one of them. Ryan lived with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
He is survived by his sister, Torrie Kinley; his father, Matthew Kinley and his wife Loara Cadavona; his uncles, David Kinley and his wife, Kathy Kinley, and Vern Kinley and his wife, Cynthia Kinley; his cousins, Lindsay Kinley and Tim Kinley; and his great-aunt, Merrillyn Kulis, and Jim Kulis.
A remembrance will be held on his 31st birthday, Saturday, December 12, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at The 4th Horseman, 121 W. 4th Street, Long Beach.
