When I first started working at The Hamblett School as a Teaching Assistant many many years ago, Rose was the class teacher. She welcomed me with warmth & humour.
I couldn’t have asked for a better start! She was an amazing personality, full of fun. What a year we had. We soon became friends & shared a similar sense of humour. The children absolutely loved her.
I especially remember how much she loved watching the tennis 🎾 & whenever Wimbledon was on out came the TV in class ha ha.
Rose will be greatly missed & I hold fond memories of her ❤️

Rose was a lovely friend. We go back many years to when our children were young here in Rainford & we were part of the same babysitting group. We have so many happy memories of those times together. As time went by we met up every year around Christmastime for what we still called our ‘babysitting’ meal, much to everyone’s amusement. Rose was a very special lady, vivacious, happy, fun, caring, great company, the list goes on & on, it was always a pleasure to be with her. The photo was taken this March at our delayed get together. She will be missed so much.

Some people just have a light. That magical quality. They bring joy and energy and you can't be around them without laughing. That's what I always saw in Rose, even when years had gone by between the hen do or the wedding or the pub lunch. The light's still here though - you only have to look at Rose's family to see how she passed it on and fed it through to them x

Wonderful memories of Rose as a friend and colleague at the Hamblett School and then Lansbury Bridge School in St Helens. Always game for adventure, she enthusiastically supported the pupils at sporting events and outdoor activities especially at the Bendrigg Centre. Will miss her wonderful smile.

I have some great memories of Auntie Rose. As children, my brother Martin and I used to go with Mum and Dad to see the Lea Family many an Easter time and often we would go on a break with them. Here are some photos of my Mum Kathleen, Rose, Susie and myself. Auntie Rose was always very lively.

We had the pleasure of meeting Rose and Jim when my son married Rachel Jim's daughter. She was such good company and it was lovely to see them jive together. At Rachel and Kev's wedding in Moriara she was on the dance floor all night hardly stopping dancing even RIP Roseto have a drink. You will be sadly missed Rose party's won't be the same without you.Thinking of Jim and both sides of the family at this very sad time. X

As new neighbours in Woodfields in 2024 Rose along with Jim made us so welcome. One precious memory was Rose greeting us at the door going into the christmas dinner venue. She had a lovely warm smile and showed us to the seats she had saved for us. She was a beautiful lady and a wonderful neighbour. Rose will be sorely missed. ❤️

My friendship with Rose goes back to our college days in Liverpool.
She was so full of life and told wonderful stories.
I can never remember her being anything other than funny , extremely positive with a great sense of humour.

We became friends with Rose through the A 59 club.
We shared many happy times times together especially on the Warners holidays where Rose was always the life and soul of the party,enjoying of course her dancing!

What a friend I had in Rose ~ we go back a long time and have been through highs and lows and had lots of laughter and tears together. We may not have seen each other frequently because of distance, but we’ve been north and south together. Always picking up where we left off. I’m stunned that this has to stop so abruptly. I have many treasured memories of Rose on our group holidays and our own private lunches. I am disappointed that I organise an activity holiday the first week in August which means that I will miss the service and celebration of her life. I will be thinking about her throughout the day.
