She loved all Stephen King movies. Anything that she could put on at the shop to watch with her customers.
- She would always tell me that when cows were lying down, it meant that it would rain.
- She would get so excited when she saw a cardinal in the yard. She even named one, "Charlie," who she claimed returned to the house every year.
- In the movie "Ghostbusters II," she would always tell me how annoyed she was with the receptionist lady....she claimed she always whined.
- My VaVo bought me a doll called, "My Buddy," when I was a toddler. The doll reminded my mother of Chucky. She secretly threw away the doll (but let me keep the box to play in).
- She never learned how to actually use a computer. Instead, she used a computer to play social media games like "Farmville."
- She would get emotionally invested in every movie and show she watched.
- Her High School crush was someone named, "Steve Lawrence."
- She had the pop song, "Meet me in the middle," as her ringtone.... a boomer listening to modern pop always gets me.
- When I was a kid, we used to watch xFiles and Twilight Zone on Friday nights.
- She loved having pet fish. In her final years of life, she had a few betta fish that she loved (and was devastated when they died).
- She would get up every day at 5 am to sit at the kitchen table, with her coffee, and read the bible while writing down her favorite passages in her notebook.
- She loved popcorn. And also candy. She always had a bag of the pink round candy mints.
- I remember she used to come home from work, pulling into the driveway, blasting Linkin Park or Creed. She had endless energy.
