Obituary

Robert Brendan Wilkinson (‘Bobby’; ‘Rob’) was born July 28th, 1978 in Royal Oak, Michigan, and died on October 26th, 2025 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, at the age of 47.

His Story

Raised in Clarkston, Michigan, ‘Bobby’ was the youngest child in his family – and the only boy. And as such, he spent much of his formative years with his dad at the ice rink honing his skills as a talented goalie playing travel hockey. From the rink to the race we call life, he harnessed a wicked sense of humor that wasn’t for everyone – but was certainly loved and appreciated by those who ‘got it.’ His musical taste and his love of body art definitely defined him and shaped his ‘brand’ and persona. But as he grew and became a man, ‘Rob’ was met with his share of challenges – both good and bad. Ultimately, these experiences shaped who he became and will be a part of the legacy he leaves behind.

Robert is survived by his two sons: Gage Bebee (fiancé Mariah Holland) - who had just welcomed his first grandson, Haven- of Mount Pleasant, Michigan and Nathan Bebee of Lansing, Michigan. He is also survived by many family members, including his mother, Karen Wilkinson of Corozal, Belize; sisters Leanne Wilkinson (John Rzepka), of Clarkston, Michigan and Kara Bosnic (Almir Bosnic) of Des Plaines, Illinois. Extended family include a ‘sister by choice’ Jeanette Tercha, nieces Stephanie Wierzbicka, Nicole Somers and Mia Bosnic; and nephews Kevin (Mary) Czarniecki, Brendan (Dayna) Czarniecki, John (“Johnno”) Rzepka, Jacob Somers, and Armin Bosnic.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wilkinson; paternal grandparents, Lester and Cecilia Wilkinson; maternal grandparents, Harry and Helen Rhode; and a sister, Megan (“Marie”) Somers.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing, Michigan.
A memorial gathering will be scheduled at a later date.

Bob was a great friend even through our ups and downs. He worked with my husband and myself for years as a body piercer. Watched him put a lot of his tattoo art on his body. Enjoyed big bonfires and bbqs with friends.
Throughout it all he was family. My heart hurts to know he has left this world. He will forever be missed. Fly high.
