Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Allen Walker, 69, of San Antonio. He went HOME on Thursday, March 27, 2025. Richard was born on July 12, 1955, in Brownsville, TX. He spent most of his career as a dedicated employee with the Cameron County Sheriff's Department (Jail Division).
Richard will be remembered most for his fun-loving spirit and his dedication to his faith. He made many memories on the dance floor. He simply enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest! His passion was singing Gospel music, and he couldn’t help himself from singing along to his favorite musician, Celine Dion. In his downtime, you could find him working on various projects around the house and tending to the yard. When not being busy, he loved watching horror movies. I doubt there was any he didn’t watch or know from the back of his hand.
Richard lived his life the best he knew and left this earth wishing that his children and grandchildren would find happiness and peace in this mixed-up world. While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering and amongst so many which have passed before him.
He was preceded in death by 6 sisters, Jacquelyn Williams, Carolyn Gardner, Patsy Walker, Gwendolyn Crocker, Kathlyn Williamson, and Merilyn Wall; and by 2 brothers, A.B. Walker Jr., and William E. Walker Sr.; and by his parents, A.B. Walker Sr. and Hermie Oleta Adams Walker; and numerous other family members and friends.
Richard is survived by his children, Heather Johnson (Matthew), Crystal Morgan (Donnie), Amber Rodriguez, and Jessica Walker; grandchildren, Dylan Morgan (Elizabeth), Michael Luna, Makayla Morgan, Kaylee Luna, Madison Morgan, Kaiden Rodriguez, Xyler Rodriguez, Liam Rodriguez, Mason Rodriguez, and Hazelee De La Rosa; great-grandchildren, Luna, Andy, and Emi; nieces and nephews; and a host of extended loving family members and friends.
