Obituary

Richard Eugene Fish II (aka Dick/Ricky) 40, passed away on February 5, 2026, in Spokane, Washington. Born on June 6, 1985, in Phoenix, Arizona, Dick brought light and laughter into the lives of those who knew him.

Dick was a man with a big heart who wore his emotions openly and honestly. His beautiful singing voice and infectious laugh could brighten even the darkest room. Whether sharing a joke or lending a helping hand, he had a way of making people feel seen and valued. His caring nature and generous spirit left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path.

He found joy in simple pleasures especially fishing and bowling. These pastimes were more than hobbies; they were moments of peace and connection that reflected his love for life, the people around him and his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Though Dick faced personal struggles and battled addiction, he never lost his warmth or sense of humor. His resilience and unwavering love for his family stood as a testament to his strength of character.

He is survived by his children, Haylee and Joseph; his parents, Rick and Joye; sisters, Courtney, Corrie, and Amy; as well as his Grandparent's and three nieces and five nephews. Each of them carries forward the memory of his laughter, kindness, and enduring love.

May Dick’s memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a reminder to us all that the cost of giving into addictions can be fatal. Pray always, Fight the good fight and Never stop loving passionately!

You were my brother, my best friend, and the one my heart worried over the most. You used to call me your guardian angel, and now I hold onto the hope that you’re mine. I’ll miss you for the rest of my life. Please look after us all. I can’t believe I have to learn how to live without you. I love you big brother.

I have so many memories with you. You have been a part of my life for 20 years. From our daughters sharing the same name, to when I hired you, being there when your son was born, numerous drives and tattoos, from you staying with me, listening to you sing, deep conversations, the list goes on. You will forever be in my heart. I love you.

This one hits a little harder. I’ll never forget our younger teen years and our young love relationship we swore would last forever. I have so many memories of you, Courtney and I. Hanging at each others houses, youth group, our walks home from Hillside. I am so incredibly happy we kept in touch and I pray your soul is at peace. Sending so much love to your family and everyone’s lives you touched. Sweet dreams Ricky.

I was so lucky to have known and met Hayden’s favorite uncle. You were always such a light to be around, with the biggest laugh that was truly contagious. One of my favorite memories is when we all went to the cabin. You were so adventurous, with such a deep love for nature, and without a doubt, the best fisherman teaching us your tips and tricks ,even when you were putting frogs in our face lol. Also you being your crazy self when you went bowling with us in Utah. You will always be remembered for your warmth, joy, and the way you made me feel welcome.
