To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.
Obituary
Richard Paul Felski was a man of great humor who always had a story to tell and time for conversation. Richard passed away peacefully in Colorado on May 9, 2026 surrounded by family he loved. He fought many health battles over recent years, and due to the complex nature of current diagnosis as well as his age, his fight sadly ended.
Richard, known to many as Dick or Dickster, will be remembered for his desire to laugh, share stories, and learn about unique trivia while traveling the world. Family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues all experienced the joy that Richard had for life and his passion he felt about honoring the military when they spent time with him.
Throughout life, Richard built lasting connections and touched many lives through simple acts of care, encouragement, and friendship. Conversations, shared moments, and everyday gestures created memories that will remain with those who had the privilege of knowing Richard.
Need biography information about his early years in the Coast Guard, when he met mom and got married, then living in Lima and his employment.
The passing of our father leaves a space that cannot be filled. Yet the memories, lessons, and moments shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him. Richard will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
He is survived by his three daughters, Denine (Kurt) McClaren, Darline (Dennis) Blea, and Diane (Jack) Bishop, along with his nine grandchildren Mitchell, Alex, Rich, Jacob, Hunter, Rachel, Payton, Shane, Blake, and one great-grandchild Genevieve. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward James Felski and Sophie Elizabeth (Maiden name needed) Felski.

Because of his passion for the military and friendships, it is fitting that we celebrate his life in a place where other veterans have gone before him. A reception will follow the ceremony.
