No words can adequately reflect the impact that Razia had on those around her.

I first met her 28 years ago when we were both fresh faced students starting a new school. She has always struck me as being a very positive, caring and enthusiastic person, who always tried her best and succeeded in everything that she did.

There were so many memorable, funny and touching moments over the years...getting lost in the Cotswolds whilst searching for her lavender fields was a particular highlight....it was not just 10 mins over the ridge!

I will miss the catch ups that we used to have where we covered so many random topics. She always was interested in learning about new things and had such a creative and artistic mind.

Above all her love for her family, Amir and her girls as well as her mum always shone through and I know that she will never be forgotten and will live on in our hearts and memories.

Dearest Razia - words cannot express how much you meant to me and our friendship. A sweet, kind and caring soul who was an angel on earth and now in the heart of heaven.

I will never forget your support and kindness over the years. You always put others first and your selfless, warm and amazing personality always shone through. Razia, I don’t want to say that I am going to miss you dear as I know you will be always with us and your good wishes are always with me too. You were a true fighter and no matter what situation you were in you always made sure to check on me and constantly ask how I am doing when I was going through rough times. Many moons ago, I decided to meet a ‘stranger’ called Razia. Since I was not sure what to expect, I took a friend along for safety. However, your style, simplicity and intelligence bowled me over and I became your ‘fan’. And thus began our friendship and endured for years.

You and I connected at so many levels… We connected over our fiercely independent mothers, our beautiful, articulate daughters. We could chat for hours about everything and nothing…

There are so many things I will miss that were part of our friendship, our relationship… our endless talks over coffee… our outings with our mothers… your cooking up amazing dishes for me, enough to feed an army… your treating me and my mother like royalty getting out your best china… your caring messages first thing in the morning to find out how I was doing while actually you were in the thick of battle for your health… our sharing notes about teenage angst… our shared love for dogs… I could go on and on

I learnt from you that physical distance does not end a friendship, it just lives forever.

It’s hard to put into words the void left by Razia - She was an amazing friend, with remarkable resilience, showing all of us the courage it takes to face life’s hardest battles. I feel so lucky to have shared moments filled with warmth. laughter and deep conversation.
