Rest in peace Grandpa, I'm so happy and relieved to know that you are with Jesus. Let us celebrate your life the way I know you would want us to. Cheers to a wonderful life lived and the legacy of successful children and grandchildren that are an ode to you. Ill always carry the memories of the love and laughter you shared with me and Matt, as well as how much love you showed my wife and treated her like your own granddaughter. Enjoy your front row seat watching my son grow up to be yet another handsome, successful Whaley man ;) Love you!

Will always miss your Grandpa, I fondly remember days in my childhood spending time you and Grandma, playing in the yard, eating licorice, watching tv. You always had a place in your heart for us grandkids and showed us nothing but love and care.

Dad, it was an honor being your daughter in law. You were very welcoming when I joined the family and immediately made me feel loved. Your demeanor was always larger than life, with great stories, big laughs, and great facial expressions 😊 As for taking care of business, I've never known anyone that worked so hard, whether it was building or repairing a house, cutting down trees, gardening, running a business, playing golf, or even just going on walks, you did it all with gusto, full steam ahead! As for your roll as a husband, father and grandfather, this was also done with all you had. You were all in and committed to your wife and children, loving them with all your heart, and being there for them at all times, without reservation. As a grandpa, you actually handed over your heart, letting them rule the roost, eat your red licorice, choose the tv shows and even sleep in your bed with you 😊 I loved our great conversations about the Lord and that you always hugged and kissed me when visiting. There was no "in-law" attitude from you, I was just Missy, your daughter ❤️. Lastly, the love I saw you express for your son, my hubby, absolutely melted my heart. Even at 61, you still called him precious and your adoration was palpable. We love and miss you, dad, and can't wait to see you again in heaven ❤️

I have many pleasant memories of your father, especially when the family lived in Yosemite. Not only was he skilled at his trade but had the respect of his peers, his employees and company management. He had a very likable manor and made others comfortable when conversing with them on a variety of subjects. Since his son married my daughter, I enjoyed spending social time with Ralph, as well. We've played tennis together and pitched a few horseshoes. We've had many Bible discussions and shared other common interests. We've shared many meals together but the ones I remember best was the numerous breakfasts we shared early each morning at a little cafe near my home when he was adding an addition onto my home. We were able to set up a special room for him as a combined bedroom and office. It was a joy to have him staying with us. I found him to be a man of integrity, kindness and follower of Jesus Christ. I will always remember him fondly. 😊
