Queenie's 76th Birthday Messages

This year for Queenie's birthday, everyone was invited to church with her and asked to share their favorite memory with Queenie or just words of encouragement. We read them to her by the end of the night and she really enjoyed them! Here are a few of the messages shared:

"One of my favorite memories of you was when you came to Lincoln mad and confused because we accidentally pulled the fire alarm. Granny came in with her eyebrows done and nobody could take her serious lol furthermore, I appreciate you for everything you do for me you go above and beyond for me and do things you don't even have to do out the kindness of your heart and I love you for that. Everything you do is genuine. It means the world to me. I love you, girl"
-Janell

"My favorite and ongoing memory of Granny is her full love and dedication to give her family the best. She is selfless and kind to everyone she meets. "Granny, I couldn't think of one of my favorite memories because they are all my favorite. I feel like when I think back on my support system and my biggest motivation for anything it's been you. I can barely write this without crying in this church, but I am so grateful for you and everything you've ever done for me. I remember granny was upset because I asked to use her truck to take HER somewhere, that surprise-somewhere was to see her son she hadn’t seen in years. I’d upset her for 2minutes just to see that beautiful upside down smile last all day. She will be missed, every crazy part of her

Granny, you were such a big part of my life and I will
cherish every memory we have. I’ll miss our brunches at Franks after church on Sundays, our Facetime calls, Christmas shopping in July, stalking you on your camera, putting airtags in your purse, telling you everybody’s business then telling you “don’t tell nobody else”, and most of all I’ll miss seeing you smile. I thank God for keeping you as long as He did! Although I’ll miss you dearly, I find
comfort in knowing that you have eternal life through your faith in Jesus Christ. I’ve gained another guardian angel to watch over and protect me. I’ll love you always.
