Thinking of Caroline, Julian, Eileen and all the family at this time. Heard about Philips passing just this afternoon. I will miss visiting Philip and Eileen in Sydney and I thoroughly enjoyed all the times I spent with Philip, in particularly our discussions and email conversations about topics we shared a common interest such as family history and politics. Philip used to email me all sorts of interesting articles. I remember the kind graciousness and hospitality shown to both myself, my wife Robyn and our family when we visited Sydney. It was Philip who introduced me to the sport of Gridiron/American football where he was refereeing matches, and as a visitor, I was enlisted/volunteered to be on "the chain gang" to hold the sideline lollipop to make the 10 yards to the Down. Never having seen American football before, Philips strict instructions to me were "if the players come running up the sideline or anywhere near you, drop the chain and run like hell". Another lovely memory is the family of kookaburras which Philip fed at his back door. It is this infectious enthusiasm and sense of humour which I remember the best. Kindest regards, peace and grace to all the family. Sincerely, Jamie Webb.

"Though we may grieve the loss of those dear to us, let us remember that death is a natural part of life's cycle. Just as the sun sets in the evening, so too must we bid farewell to our loved ones as they pass on to the next stage of existence. Let us take solace in the memories we shared, and find comfort in knowing that their spirit lives on in our hearts forever." - Marcus Aurelius
As a psychologist, Philip found great fascination in the study of the mind and human behaviour. While Philip may not have been a philosopher, he was attracted to the stoic teachings of Marcus Aurelius. I miss Philip. I recall the chats we shared, the sound of his laughter that filled the room and our hearts. His presence brought warmth and much light into my life and others. He will remain forever in our hearts as a shining example of the beauty of human connection and the impact one person can have on those around them.
Rest in peace, dear Philip. I will never forget your laughter, bold personality, sparkling eyes, and wisdom.
Love always, Rachel, and Wayne

Philip will be sorely missed. Jorgen and I have such fond & happy memories of all the good times we shared together. Especially all the dinners and competitive card games. He was such a decent bloke, and we admired his intellect, good wit and character. A brave man who fought to the end and rarely complained..RIP
