Petronilla Williams

Those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever.

Obituary

Petronilla came from Trinidad & Tobago in the 60's in the hope of better opportunities for her and the family. She would go on to pursue her career in Nursing followed by various positions in the health care industry. Her last role before retiring would be to work for the Borough of Brent as a Disabilities assessment officer. This was a profound experience for her as she documented her visits and reported the difficulties the families had to endure. This is where she would apply all her expertise and good natured spirit to help people who were, desperate need in many cases.
Throughout her life and even after retirement she continued to be supportive to both family and friends who remained close to her, always going out of her way to talk, listen and help anyone that asked. Always charitable her generosity knew no bounds, as she consistently shared her time and resources with those that came to her.
Well into her late seventies and early eighties she remained a very social person. She would always make time for her church and her friends regardless of age race or nationality.

The phone calls stopped coming, that’s when I felt all the memories and flashbacks! Your kindness, love, and thoughtfulness all echos! REST in Eternal Sunshine our beautiful Queen- PET. You light up every room you enter. Your infectious personality and bright-as-the-sun smile made you loved by many. I’m grateful that I’m one of the Blessed ones whom had the moment to bask in your remarkable glow. God- mother, and motherly bonds are one-of-a-kind. I’m so grateful to know this firsthand. You are one of my biggest inspirations. Rest well😢 Michelle & tribe.

I met Aunty Pet February 1999. From the first day and throughout the years, her smile, warmth and her words “sweetie”.. We talked about life, politics, religion and family. I had an open invitation she always felt I needed to eat 😂.. We looked at our linked family history and she always had the simple yet profound answer for many of life’s challenges. What amazing lady who had the purest heart with an amazing smile and kindness which was unmatched. Aunty Pet has gone ahead to receive her reward from the creator of all souls;

Our lovely wonderful & beautiful Auntie Pat will be missed by our family ,she always lights up everyone in the Room.Whenever she visited the Salon to have her hair done or pop in to see us she walks in and always had all the Customers laughing, she always have some funny jokes, Roger will say that’s my Auntie ,Auntie Pat always brings some flowers and a lovely top for me .I used to do her hair. As her cousin, we grew up together. Cousin Pat was my first cousin. A lot of joy to be around and always caring just like her mum and down to earth. Family meant everything to her and her fantastic meals were always central to our frequent visits to her home. She will forever be missed and loved by our entire family. Today we celebrate her life. May she rest in perfect peace..

In loving memory of my grandmother, a woman whose presence brought light and warmth to everyone she met.
Grandma had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome, opening her home and heart to family, friends, and strangers alike. She
had this quiet grace, a kindness that knew no bounds, and a sense of humor that could lift the the spirits of anyone around her. Her laugh could fill a room, and her love was felt by all who knew her.
She also had impeccable style, always so elegant and full of grace. But beyond her outward beauty was a spirit that radiated joy. She loved life and lived it fully, and I'll always cherish how she made every moment feel special.
I'm forever grateful for the time I had with her, though I wish we could have shared more. She gave me the gift of a wonderful mother, and through my mom, her infinite heart and strength live on. The memories I have of her however brief mean the world to me, and I regret not being able to see her one last time. I had hoped for her to meet my fiance and share the brightness she brought to everyone around her.
Grandma embraced life with open arms. Her warmth, laughter and love were a constant source of joy, and while I will miss her deeply, I know her spirit will stay with me always.
To my family especially my uncle and his family, I share in your sorrow, and I send my heartfelt condolences. We are all better for having known and loved her, and I find comfort in the beautiful memories we will always carry with us.
Grandma, you will be missed more than words can say, but your love and light will forever remain in our hearts.

To my dearest uncles, aunts, cousins, and extended family,

It is with profound sorrow that I offer my deepest condolences as we grieve the loss of my beloved grandmother, Petronilla. Her life was an extraordinary testament to resilience, compassion, and a generosity of spirit that knew no bounds. Her legacy reverberates through all of us, shaping our lives in ways that are both profound and enduring.

In the precious time I was fortunate enough to spend with her in her later years, I witnessed firsthand her radiant presence, a woman deeply engaged with the world around her, vibrant and connected to the lives she touched. Despite the passing of time, she remained a pillar of strength, embodying grace and wisdom in equal measure.

As we gather together in this period of mourning, let us honor her by remembering the love she so selflessly gave, the wisdom she imparted, and the example she set. Though she may no longer be with us in this physical world, her spirit continues to live on through each of us in the kindness we extend to one another, in the unity of our family, and in the enduring compassion that she instilled in us all.

May we find comfort in knowing that Petronilla now rests in eternal peace, having lived a life of immense purpose, love, and service. Her presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her light will continue to guide us, illuminating our paths as it has illuminated so many lives during her time among us.

With deepest sympathy and abiding love,

Though I never had the privilege of knowing my grandmother personally, I’ve come to understand the profound impact she had on the lives of those around her. She was known for her empathy and generous spirit, always reaching out to others in their time of need. Her ability to feel what others were going through and offer support without hesitation is a testament to her selflessness.

Nana Pet, you played such an integral part in my life for a very long time. When I was with you, you made me feel very loved and cherished. You would have me laughing and wetting myself with all your jokes and antics. It was an honour and privilege to call you my other mother. You are now in the arms of our Heavenly Father and I know you will have all your fellow angels mesmerized by your beauty.

Hi Petra, Hi Petra, can you hear me? can you hear me?I can not hear you. Many years ago I was unfortunately pickpocketed and lost all my money I was carrying. I was in a desperate situation. I didn't realised it was going to be a blessing in disguise, because you came into my life with your generous financial support. From that day you brought your friendship with a beautiful light that made us very close friends until the day God called you home to rest. The light of our beautiful friendship is gone, but your beautiful memorable memories remain. Thank you from the full soul of my heart. Just, maybe you will be somewhere up there waiting for me.

Mother Pet was more than a customer she was a guiding light in my life when I worked at the Post Office. Her laughter brightened even the most hectic days, and her wisdom provided comfort when I needed it most.

She always knew just the right thing to say, whether it was sharing advice or just listening with an open heart. Mother Pet had this wonderful way of making everyone feel like family, and her warmth and generosity of spirit will forever be etched in my heart.

Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire me."❤️🙏🏾

To My Mother, The "Cocoa Panyol" From your first born Caroline. My earliest memories of my mother are of her beauty, grace and confidence. I felt she was perfect. Hair like a horse's main and a smile like sunshine. Her eyes seemed to look far beyond the present. Young, brave and determined she set her sights on new horizons. She faced obstacles, dealt with life's challenges with resilience, strength and determination. She survived, overcoming great adversity and life dilemmas that we all face. I applaud her, for I am part of her linked by invisible bonds that live in the very core of my being. I loved her and will continue to make her proud. I can't change the past and I cannot hate the experiences that shaped me. Like her, I am empathetic, strong, kind, courageous determined, full of faith and hope in my imperfections. May your light continue to shine through all of your children and many grand children and great gran.
