14. If a man dies, can he live again? I will wait all the days of my compulsory service until my relief comes.
15. You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands”
- Job 14:14,15
Biography
Peter Owusu-Ansah, born on 20 January 1979 passed peacefully on 1 November 2025. Beloved son of Daniel and Beatrice Owusu-Ansah and affectionately known as P, Uncle P, Kwame and KP, he was a bright, authentic and unforgettable soul whose presence lifted every room.
Peter grew up in East London and attended Odessa Nursery, St James’ Primary, Forest Gate Secondary School and Waltham Forest College. Curious by nature, he loved learning and engaging deeply with the world around him. His early work with ELBWO revealed a natural talent for guiding and supporting young people, a calling he embraced wholeheartedly throughout his life.
He dedicated his career to youth work and social services and poured his heart into helping others. Peter was known for going above and beyond, offering not just guidance and resources but genuine care. Many of the young people he supported went on to build fulfilling and successful careers, often crediting Peter for believing in them long before they believed in themselves. His compassion, integrity and steady presence defined both his work and his legacy.
Beyond his professional life, Peter was creative, thoughtful and full of life. Music and fashion were his passions and he had an effortless sense of style with a playlist for every moment. He loved football, food, travel, philosophy and the arts and approached every interest with curiosity and a unique flair. His humour, intelligence and warmth made him magnetic and socially he was unforgettable, always ready with a joke, a story or a smile.
Peter leaves behind a deep void but also a lasting gift: the joy he brought, the lives he shaped and the love he shared so freely. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, colleagues and the many young people whose futures he helped build.
Peter, we will miss you always.
Your light remains with us.
