Obituary

Penny McKnight, a devoted mother, grandmother, and proud "crazy chicken lady," peacefully passed away on July 3rd at the age of 79. She now can rest with the love of her life, Larry.
Penny was exceptionally unique and had a vibrant spirit and infectious laugh. Fiercely loyal and  beautifully unfiltered, you never had to guess what Penny was thinking, and you never had to doubt her love. Her early years were spent nurturing her family and farm animals. Penny had a creative soul, she spent years attending craft shows with her pretty punch crafts, she was a florist for many years and also owned her own custom costume jewelry business at the Hartville Marketplace. In her later years, Penny’s mission was to spread joy by sending her handmade cards to anyone that needed some cheer.
Above all, Penny’s greatest joy was her role of family matriarch. She is survived by her 3 children, Scott Mcknight, Marc Mcknight and Sarah Mcknight; her 4 grandchildren Brittany Pitts, Clayton Mcknight, Kaiden and Ruby Sinay; 2 precious great-grandchildren, Rhett and Rayna Pitts; and 12 chickens.
The passing of Penny leaves a space that cannot be filled. Yet the memories, lessons, and moments shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
Penny will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Loved you Penny. Penny and I were friends at Lincoln High School. I went to her home one day and met a guy named Charles she just started dating. Later, she met Charles best friend from Louisville High School, named Larry! Penny married Larry and I married Charles! Double dated a lot! lol. Lost touch during Vietnam. Found each other again when she was a vender at Hartville. She sure was exactly the same! We went to Larry’s service and was able to talk some there. Will always miss her crazy, infectious laugh!
