Obituary

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Powell Sanderson, our loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched, on September 17th, 2024.



Born in Roosevelt, Utah, attended Uintah High School graduated in 1969 and went on to attend Brigham Young University and graduated in 1973. She married her husband on January 4th,1973. She retired from the school district after working for 25 years.



Survived by her devoted husband Jack Sanderson and her brothers Robert Powell and Steven Powell. She was the beloved mother of Leslie Sanderson, Scott Sanderson, daughter in law, Madelaine Sanderson, Samantha Edwards and Son in Law David Edwards, proud grandmother of Caleb Sanderson, Kylie Sanderson, Caylee Sanderson, Brooke Sanderson and grand-pup Parker.



Patricia was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She had a passion for Genealogy and learning about her heritage. Her mother and Grandmother taught her how to quilt when she was young, which turned into a passion for Patricia, making over 100 quilts.



She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

It was our privilege to meet with Pat and her husband many times in their home and visit with them. We were always impressed with Pat’s angelic spirit and disposition to serve others. We will miss her kindness, her generosity, her sweet smile, and her love and warmth that she extended to us and many others. Pat, we miss you and love you!

Pat and I served in many callings together and also in Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She had a love of genealogy and was willing to share her knowledge. A very talented lady. We will all miss her very much, as will her family!! Love you forever, Pat!! Till we meet again!!

We will come together to remember and pay tribute to the wonderful person. While we mourn the loss of Patricia, we also aim to cherish the moments shared and the joy brought into our lives. Your presence would mean a great deal to us during this time of remembrance and reflection.

Funeral services will be held at Price Funeral Chapel on Saturday September 28th. The viewing starts at 9:00am and the funeral will start at 10:00am.
