Well done thy good and faithful servant

Obituary

Patricia Ann Halyard, born January 2, 1954, passed away on April 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and a spirit that could light up any room she entered.
Patricia was known for her big, beautiful personality. One that drew people in and made them feel seen, heard and cared for. Her radiant smile and her big, beautiful eyes reflected the kindness and joy she carried within her. She had a way of making every person feel special, often taking others in as her own unknowingly becoming a mother figure to many who loved her deeply and considered themselves her “adopted” children.
A devoted woman of faith, Patricia held a deep and unwavering love for God. As a dedicated member of the Seventh-day Adventist church, she lived her beliefs through compassion, generosity, and grace, touching countless lives along her journey.
Above all else, Patricia’s greatest joy and proudest role was being a mother to her daughter Pashion Nichols. Her love for her daughter was like no other; fierce, unconditional, and enduring. That bond was the center of her world and will remain an everlasting source of strength and comfort.
Patricia also held a deep love for her family, cherishing every moment spent together and nurturing those relationships with care and devotion. Her presence brought warmth, laughter, and unity to those around her.
She will be remembered not only for the love she gave so freely, but for the way she made others feel valued, uplifted, and never alone. Her legacy is one of deep faith, powerful love, and a life lived with purpose.
She will be dearly missed and forever cherished

Pat was amazing, very friendly , devoted to God and a kind heart and we all knew her infectious smile.
I got to know her mostly at campmeeting walks and lunches. Beautiful memories are a treasure!

The 70’s. My big sister Patsy, we called her, designed my dresses for Prom and mistress of ceremony for a school event, “Arabian Nights “
She was so talented! Designer, seamstress, model. 🥲

My sister taught me me to sew, about hygiene, and she was my transportation to get out of the house. My mom used to say,” if you can work it out, you can go”. I the said, “Patsy! then we’d get one of her boyfriends to drive us. As a result I interviewed and was selected for the Georgia Governor’s Honor Program. I owe some of my success to her. I was her first sister ( daughter). She was the consummate big sister friend while I was in high school getting me to football and basketball games. She was also a friend to my friends
She was a bridesmaid in my wedding and just generally supportive of me. She designed and helped make my prom dress in 1977!
You will be missed
