Obituary

William “Pat” Welch passed away peacefully at his home in La Quinta Saturday October 5, 2024.

Pat was a an accomplished musician, chef, mechanic, electrician, cake decorator, girl dad, husband, and jack of all trades. Pat was an artist. He could cook, fish, ride and pretty much fix, landscape or build anything you wanted.

He was passionate about landscaping. His ongoing project at his new home brought him so much joy. He’d constantly FaceTime, walking us around his yard unveiling recent acquisitions of citrus trees, palms, flowers and fountains, and of course always following up with text messages of pictures and videos of his new backyard designs.

His greatest accomplishments were his 26 year marriage to Robyn, and being the best girl dad ever. He raised 3 amazing daughters who all know how to shoot, fish and rock and roll.

Pat will be forever missed by his wife, Robyn Welch and his 3 daughters, Wendy Turner, Michelle Green and Lauren Weiser. His 7 grandchildren, Alexander and Jacob Green, Ethan, Mason, Beckett, and Alexa Turner and Charlotte Weiser and his sister Marsha Berthiame.

As he joins his parents Vera and Bill Welch in heaven, we know they will guide him and take care of him. We love you forever.

Pat was so quick to accept me and show me love. I’ll regret not having the opportunity to spend more time with him. He will be sorely missed.

Dearest Robyn and family, I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Pat's passing...I loved him from the first day that we met and always enjoyed seeing him when we got together. I always laughed at his jokes and enjoyed all the fine foods he treated me to - his famous Clam Chowder, cheesecake and countless dinners at restaurants where he would order half the menu! I will miss him dearly and will always hold great memories of him close to my heart forever....rest in peace dear Pat.

Although I never met Pat, his wife is a dear friend and if he was anything like her, he will be missed by scores of honest, thoughtful people. Rest in peace, Pat. I wish I knew you.

Robyn, you are in my heart.
Love, Suzi

So sorry for this sudden loss for Robyn and his Daughters and their family this photo is from our Son Nick and his wife’s Adrienne baby shower for our Grandson Cash who is almost 7 is was a fun celebration and we were glad Robyn and Pat could come. We met Pat almost 30 years ago Robyn was living in Stephenson Ranch and she wanted us to meet this guy she was seeing. Well when we first met him we thought wow he is a little wild and crazy for Rob but we learned quickly she loved him and we sure did have some fun with them. Boating trips to Havasu, bbq at their house which we never turned down Pats tri-tip and everything else was the best. Everyone knew his Cheesecake was out of this world! He always sent us home with doggie bags. Pat you are going to be missed by Robyn who is lost without you and your Daughters and family and friends

Michelle is one of my closest and best friends. She and I always thought that Pat being super cool and quite handsome was the perfect match for my mom, Linda, who is beautiful and could definitely match his cool! So Michelle and I devised a plan to set the two of them up, and they would get married, so that we could become sisters!!!😃 That obviously didn’t work out since the two of them never married, but we did give it our best shot! 😆 Pat really is one of the coolest dads I know, and he definitely loves his girls! 🙏🏻💕
