“Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your lord.”

Obituary

There are people whose presence leaves a lasting imprint on every life they touch. Pamela Apiyo Ombech was one of those rare souls.

Born on 17th March 1962, Pamela lived a life marked by faith, love, service, and unwavering devotion to family. She was a loving wife to the late Dr. Naphtaly Ombech Abidha, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and mentor whose kindness, wisdom, and generosity touched countless lives.

A committed Christian, Pamela's faith in God guided every aspect of her life. She served faithfully in the Anglican Church, offering leadership, encouragement, and spiritual support to many. Prayer was her strength, and her relationship with Christ was the foundation upon which she built her life.

Beyond her family and church, Pamela was a pillar in her community. She welcomed others with warmth, promoted education, strengthened family bonds, and quietly supported those in need.

On 11th June 2026, Pamela peacefully departed this world. Though deeply missed, her legacy of faith, compassion, unity, and selfless service lives on in the many lives she touched.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever cherished.

Tribute to Mama Lyz
From Pauline Odhiambo, Lyz's friend

With a heavy heart, I pay tribute to Mama Lyz, a remarkable woman who was like a mother to me. Her warmth, wisdom, and caring nature left a lasting impact on my life, and I will forever be grateful for the privilege of knowing her.

Mama Lyz taught me valuable lessons about parenting and life. Through her example, I learned that being a good parent means balancing discipline with love. She showed me how to be strict when necessary, yet always lead with compassion and understanding. The way she raised her children with strong values, respect, and love continues to inspire me as I raise my own.

She welcomed me with kindness, guided me with wisdom, and cared for me as one of her own. Her influence extended far beyond her family, touching the lives of many who were blessed to know her.

As we say goodbye, I pray that God grants comfort to her family and all who mourn her loss. Though she may no longer be with us physically, her legacy of love, strength, and wisdom will live on in our hearts forever.

May your soul rest in eternal peace, Mama Lyz. You will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. 🕊️🤍

So sad that I only met her once, my husband introduced me to her as her aunt and she called all her siblings to come and meet me the wife of her late brother's son (Ger), and now she's no more, this broke me, I felt welcomed to the family even though I didn't meet the whole family but I felt loved on day one, REST EASY AUNTY PAMELA❤️

Tribute to Pamela
Pamela was more than a fellowship member to me; she held a special place in my heart as my child's godmother during baptism. Her kindness, faith, and unwavering support will always be remembered. She touched many lives with her warm spirit and generous heart.
Though she is no longer with us, the beautiful memories we shared and the impact she made will remain forever. I thank God for the privilege of knowing her and for the blessing she was to my family.
Rest in eternal peace, Pamela. You will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. 🕊️💔🙏🏻
