Omoladun Okunade

To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.
Obituary
With deep gratitude to God for a life so beautifully lived, we celebrate the heavenly calling of our beloved mother, Omoladun Aduke Deborah Okunade (Nee Omoni), born September 10, 1950, called home to be with the Lord on September 17, 2026.
Mummy was a woman of unshakeable faith. Till her very last breath, she remained a devoted Christian, and as she breathed her last, the word on her lips was "Hallelujah." That was who she was — a woman who praised God in everything, right to the very end. It was she who led all of us, her children, into the path of Christ and taught us to live a prayerful life, and that is a gift we will carry with us forever.
She was selfless in a way that is hard to put into words. Whatever she had, she gave — generously, sacrificially, without ever counting the cost to herself. Anyone who knew her, whether family, a neighbor, a friend, or a colleague, felt her warmth. She had this quiet way of drawing people together and making them know they mattered.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, her children and grandchildren, and a wide circle of family and friends who were blessed to know her and to be loved by her.
There is a space in our hearts now that nothing will ever fill. But we do not grieve as those without hope, because we know she is home, and we choose to celebrate the beautiful, faithful, generous life she lived.
Rest well, Mummy. We love you, and we will see you again. Hallelujah!

You called each of us by our names and oriki, and you made everyone feel special. I will forever cherish the memories of those early mornings when you woke us up to pray and sing. You introduced us to Christ at such a young age, and that foundation has remained with us.
You were a very industrious and accommodating woman. I remembered the memories of going to site with mummy (OMG, writing this makes me teary)Mummy would always buy us snacks towards evening. And those Sunday mornings when we would rush out of the house to catch up with Mummy to Ajegunle Baptist Church. what sweet memories
Hearing that your last word was Hallelujah brings comfort, knowing that you went home praising the Lord you loved and served.
Thank you for loving us so much. Thank you for showing us Christ. Thank you for the beautiful memories and the legacy you left behind.
Sleep peacefully, beloved Mummy Ibadan. You will forever remain in our hearts. ❤️
