A Tribute To My Beloved Uncle
My dear uncle, you came, you saw and conquered. You will be greatly missed.
You left a lasting good memory in my life and the family as a whole. You affected lives positively even with your style of discipline.
You were indeed a pillar of strength and encouragement to all of us.
I Remember very well, the nickname - Baba Gold - you told my husband's family that people called you around your area. And that was the name they called you all through.
Memories of holidays in your house with my siblings are still fresh and dear to my heart. Your home was a haven and comfortable place to stay despite your strict moves.
No doubt, you shall be missed greatly by everyone, especially my siblings and I.
What else can I say but to say continue to rest in the Lord's bosom
From your niece - Barr. Damilola Nwaribe

My dear Uncle Femi was a different breed from all his siblings.
You had to know and understand him, or else you would term him as being a difficult man.
Underneath that hard and no-nonsense look of his, is a very compassionate man who is concerned about the welfare of all his nephews and nieces.
I will miss your fatherly counsel and admonishment. May your soul rest in peace, IJN 🙏

TRIBUTE TO OUR LATE ENGR. FEMI ILUYEMI
On behalf of the entire members of the YOUNG CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP (MALE) (YCF) St. Paul’s Church Breadfruit. We wish to express our sympathy on this painful loss and also express our deepest condolence on this sad exit.
As our past Vice President, Engr. Femi Iluyemi was a very supportive and active member of the Society. He was a lover of God and highly religious and played a role model to God and humanity. He joined the Society through his childhood friend Prince (Pa) Ekundayo Haastrup and since then he brought happiness and love into the Society.
We therefore pray that the good Lord grant his siblings, children, grandchildren and loved ones the grace to bear the loss which nobody can change (Amen).

A TRIBUTE FOR LATE PA FEMI ILUYEMI
The community was deeply shocked and saddened when the news of your passing broke. Death is painful. However, death taking a precious human like you is more painful. You were always at the forefront in answering any call for Gold Crescent development. Your passionate contributions to this community will forever remain a monument in our hearts. Thank you for living a great and fulfilling life. Adieu, sir. - GOLD CRESCENT COMMUNITY

To a great and wonderful man, my own daddy Femi Iluyemi ( aka) daddy no problem, daddy gold and Daddy enjoy yourself.
I really want to thank God for the wisdom that you impacted, the love you shared and the exemplary life you led. You were more than a great man, you were a beacon of hope, a pillar of strength to me and my family and a source of endless inspiration. You taught me about forgiveness and not to allow anything to bother me. I should not leave above my means. I didn't cry, because you told me when it is time for you to check out, you will quietly enter your room and sleep. I will surely miss you. Rest in peace till we meet and part no more. - Chris Dike

TRIBUTE TO A DEAR FATHER:
Pa Iluyemi as he is fondly called by us, was a caring, loving and God fearing father, not just to his children but also to his children’s friends and loved ones.
Our solace is that he lived a good and fruitful life to see his children succeed and also saw his grandchildren grow.
May God almighty grant him eternal rest.
ADIEU PAPA.

TRIBUTE TO PA ILUYEMI
...Popsi, it's with mixed feelings I'm scribbling these few words of mine to appreciate you and the years we spent together.
Your fatherly role was topnotch. You became my father without me realising it. I lived with you all through my university days. You accommodated me like your own son, cooked for me before I got back from school, lectured me about life, listened and accepted my immoralities without judgement.
I must confess it was a great privilege knowing such a great father like you; who was so KIND and ACCOMMODATING. Portrayed LOVE, SELFLESSNESS, HONESTY, DISCIPLINE AND FULLY CONTENTED with what he had.
Your legacy lives on...
Rest in peace PA ILUYEMI!!! - Babatunde Ogundele

There are really no words to describe who you were 'popsie'. You were better experienced than described. I guess I would never be able to grasp how a man could be so humble, simple, loving, kind, generous and yet be so principled and disciplined.
In your 'animal farm', no animals were more equal than others. Nobody could ever feel uncomfortable or 'less' around you.
You raised me as though I was your very own child and your impact in my life is simply immeasurable.
I remember how you would ask us to "enjoy ourselves" and yet ensure that we took life seriously. You were indeed the best of everything.
For who you were, and all that you did, that teenager that you allowed into your home many years ago says,
THANK YOU DADDY, I LOVE YOU ALWAYS. - Wole Ogundele

TRIBUTE TO DADDY ILUYEMI
My daddy was a kind man.
He was also very generous.
He was always willing to help people around him and to take care of them. I am a beneficiary of his care. God sent him to make me what I am today even though it was his nature to help and be generous.
I know he loved me so much and I love him too. He always called my name, ‘Gbenga, Gbenga, Gbenga, hope there is no problem with you and your family?’
I will truly miss him even though a part of me still can’t believe that he is gone. This is life and it is important to learn how to let go.
I pray for God to receive his spirit in Jesus' name, Amen.
I love you daddy Iluyemi. I can’t wait to see you again when the time comes.
Continue to rest in peace. - Gbenga Oluwole (Lovely Son).

I am short of words.
No wonder on Saturday the 30th march 2024, around 6 30pm, l received a call from my small phone from Femi. He said he wanted to greet me in advance for Easter Sunday which was the next day, 31st march 2024. This is very unusual of him. He forced me to open my WhatsApp video call to see what he was doing in his compound. I opened my WhatsApp, and saw him enjoying himself with fried fish and a bottle of heineken. He repeatedly said, ‘Dayo enjoy yourself, death could come tomorrow.’ We discussed for about 30 minutes with him repeating, ‘Dayo enjoy yourself, death can come anytime.’ He asked that I come see him when I had the chance and I promised to whenever any of my children came to visit. I did not know he was saying goodbye to me.
The next day, (on Easter Sunday) Dr Akin George (Femi’s in-law) called me on the phone to announce the death of someone I spoke with the day before. Femi was my only friend since our primary school education, 71 years ago. A friend who knew all my secrets and whom I also knew all his secrets. He did a lot for me.
He once called me to say that all our friends have built their own houses except me. I told him that I had no money to build a house. Femi single handedly provided the funds to lay the foundation of a house with 4 rooms, 4 toilets, 1 sitting room and a dining room. He made me promise never to tell anyone.
To God be the glory I was able to complete the house, and he was present during the house warming in Mowe Ogun State. That is Femi for you!
Femi hated lies. He was a straightforward person who would always ask you to wait for your time, that God never forgets anybody. He was a man of discretion and if you had any challenges and went to him for help, Femi would tell you ‘No PROBLEM’. I personally nicknamed him ‘No Problem’. He was a cheerful giver. l called him FEMO!
This is nothing more than SLEEP! SLEEP!!
SLEEP well at the right hand of God my blossom friend, my adviser, my Egbon.

In loving memory of Uncle Femi Iluyemi.
Uncle Femi, as we affectionately called him, was not just a man but a beacon of kindness, warmth, and unwavering dedication. He was easy-going, incredibly friendly, and immensely hard-working. His love for family knew no bounds, as he poured his heart and soul into caring for his children and extended love and care to every child he encountered.
During the time we were blessed to live together, Uncle Femi's passion for providing the best for children shone brightly. He never hesitated to go above and beyond when it came to childcare and supporting young ones in need. His love knew no boundaries, and his actions spoke volumes about the kind of man he was—a man of compassion and generosity.
Despite his busy schedule, Uncle Femi also knew the importance of relaxation and enjoying life. He lived fully, cherishing every moment and spreading joy wherever he went. His laughter was infectious, and his presence lit up any room he entered.
As we bid farewell to Uncle Femi, we do so with heavy hearts but also with gratitude for the life he lived and the profound impact he made on all of us. His legacy of love, kindness, and hard work will continue to inspire us always.
Rest in peace, dear Uncle Femi. Your memory will forever remain in our hearts. Until we meet again at Jesus' feet, goodnight. Amen.....The Revd. Canon Biodun Okunnuga

In loving memory of Engr. Femi Iluyemi. A cherished father, uncle, and beacon of vitality. With a sharp mind and a penchant for cleanliness, he radiated a zest for life, always ready to embrace its joys. His dedication to health was unparalleled, often seen embarking on invigorating jogs. Clad in immaculate attire, his shoes gleaming, car sparkling, and glasses shining, he exemplified elegance. Fondly referred to as "Uncle Femi" by myself and siblings, his culinary skills added warmth to our gatherings. Though he may no longer be with us, his vibrant spirit and caring nature will forever echo in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Uncle Femi.- Bayo Okunnuga

TRIBUTE TO DADDY ILUYEMI.
For us this is the most difficult tribute to write!
Sunday, the 31st of March, 2024, after we had savoured the joy of Easter celebrations, the unexpected news of your passing came and it changed the mood of the day and many days that followed.
To say we are not pained by your demise is an understatement. Your passage like the flight of the falcon in a rainbow is a sting to our entire being but we take solace in our good Lord and comfort in the exemplary life you lived that's worthy of emulation. You lived very well and you lived for all, taking care of all around you without bearing grudges against anyone.
You were a father to my wife even before I got married to her and you remained the same to me and GRANDAD to our children.
You were an encourager, always praiseful at our success and at the unsuccessful points you encouraged and motivated us to soldier on.
Though you will be sorely missed but our consolation is that you bequeathed legacies that posterity will continue to live on.
DO REST IN PEACE, PA ILUYEMI. - KEHINDE & NKECHI POPOOLA

I thank God for his life well spent. Mr Iluyemi was a man of principle. After the death of his lovely wife, he took care of his children and did not marry another wife. He did not let his children remember that they had lost their mother. He was a man to be proud to have as a father. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace. I know he will be at the right hand of the Lord. - Omolara Irene Onifade (Mummy Yetunde)

Uncle, I will miss your wit and humour.
When I returned to Nigeria in 2001 after a 22 year break, you were there to help me reconnect on every level. Whether it was with my father’s new family, the food, the culture and the wider family.
Your sense of fun was infectious. I always looked forward to your visits to London just to catch up and listen to your words of wisdom. - Adekunle AKINBOYEWA

Uncle Femi as I fondly called you... You are gone but you will never be forgotten. We may be apart, but your memory will linger on forever.
My greatest take away from the wonderful life you lived on earth is that you lived a life of contentment and that is a great legacy you left behind.
The bond and brotherhood you shared with my late father, Abiodun Ayodele Iluyemi, is a story for another day. Both of you were like 5 & 6 as they call it in local parlance. You assumed the role of a father to me and my wife since the passing of my father, and this I will sorely miss.
I am sure you and your brother (my father) would have met up in heaven sitting in a corner clinking glasses over a bottle of Guinness stout.
I can almost hear you shouting "broda mo ti de o!" and him replying "kaabo Femo, aburo mi atata".
May your gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace. - Akin Iluyemi

Uncle Femi, your death came as a shock to me. You promised to leave this world quietly and you really kept your promise. I thank God that you lived a fulfilled life. I personally got to be close to you when you came back from the United States of America and you lived with us at Apapa while working for Volkswagen of Nigeria. You were a very strong and hardworking man and you loved your late sister, Mrs Gbonjubola Adebiyi. You would be with her and talk the whole day when you visited her. You will be greatly missed. Good night Uncle Femi. - Mrs Folasade Akanbi

Today, we come together to celebrate the life of my dear uncle, Femi.
You truly were a wonderful soul, loving, caring and accommodating to your nieces, nephews and other friends and family and I can testify to that during my brief stay at Isolo many years back.
You were such a great human being, strong, bold, jovial and free-spirited and you enjoyed life to the fullest.
I was particularly touched by the undivided love for your children and you ensured you spent your last days visiting them, even going as far as Australia to visit your Okoro and your Ayaba(my baby)
Uncle Femi, you are gone, but you will never be forgotten. We are only left with your great memories.
Continue to rest in perfect peace, dear uncle. - Tinuke Iluyemi

Continue to rest in perfect peace, dear uncle. - Tinuke Iluyemi

Uncle Femi, that was what we called you. I have so many memories of you. I can never forget your voice which announced your presence in our house. The loud ringing laughter between you and my daddy and best of all your loving and carefree nature.
You were so good and quick at dismissing anxieties. You loved your children and family greatly. You have left your footprints with glory on the sands of time. Your name will forever be remembered. Rest in perfect peace, greatly beloved. - Funlola Oyinlola nee Iluyemi

I was brought up in Lagos by Femi’s father (my uncle). I grew up with Femi and his siblings and we were a very happy family.
Now that Femi is gone, he has left an empty vacuum behind. We are going to miss him dearly. The only comfort we have is that he did not suffer ill-health and died peacefully in his sleep!
He came to London to celebrate his 80th birthday with family and friends two years ago, and little did we know then that, that was the last time we’ll ever see him. He will be sorely missed.
Goodbye my beloved. We’ll meet again. - Bose and children.

As we all know, death can come to anyone at any time, but we pray it comes when our heart is free of pain and suffering. Such was the way we lost our beloved Pa Iluyemi.
Never have I met anyone as cheerful, intelligent, and strict as Pa Iluyemi. Your presence in our lives will always and forever be remembered.
You may have passed away, but your legacy will live on in our hearts forever.
In loving memory, grandpa Iluyemi. - Balikis Gbajabiamila

Dear Grandpa,
I know you are reading this from heaven with a smile. Thank you for giving my dad a good upbringing, which has helped shape me into who I am today. Your motivational speeches have given me a boost in life for which I will always be grateful. I want you to know that I appreciate everything you did for us, and I love you very much.
I fondly remember when you visited us in Australia, and we had a great time bonding and having fun together. You always used to say that I behaved just like you, and I loved it when you laughed and were always happy. I will miss you greatly, but I know you are now resting peacefully.
With love and gratitude, Tire Iluyemi (Grand Son)

Dear Grandpa,
I loved how you always called me, ‘yeye African boy’ and I replied to you with ‘yeye African man.’ That was always our special banter and I was always so happy every time you visited and we spent time together.
My heart broke when I heard the news that you were gone, but now, I will have to move on without you. I know it will be hard, but I will try and keep all the memories of you in my heart. I hope your soul is safe and happy in heaven.
Love, your yeye boy. Timi Iluyemi (Grand Son)

Life has been different without you, Grandpa. You were someone people loved, one with a beautiful soul inside and out. Everyone will miss you, I miss you and will cherish the memories I have with you. You always used to take me and my brother to Shoprite and Sweet Sensation to buy Ice Cream, Iced tea and bread. You were always active, barely needing help with anything or anyone, and we all respect you for that. This is a truth that will be extremely hard to accept.
Rest in peace, Grandpa. Tomiwa Gbajabiamila (Grand Son)

Grandpa always cared for me and my younger brother Tomiwa always. He would watch over us in my mum’s absence due to her work demands. He helped guide us and loved not just me and Tomiwa but his children, grandchildren and his friends who were most dear to him. While growing up I always looked up to Grandpa because of how wise and caring he was and how he helped my mum with many things. My mum would always check up on Grandpa, he would always say he is fine, he is healthy, and we do not have to worry about him. Which makes his death more unexpected. The memories shared with my grandfather were truly special, not just toward me but to the people he affected in his life. Grandpa lived life to the fullest and had no worries knowing his time would come. He visited us last year in September in Australia and I am most grateful and happy that he had the opportunity to watch me, and my cousin’s basketball games and how well we played. Enjoying himself and cheering us on, he was proud of us and the things we accomplished. I just hoped he would watch more of our games and see the things we would achieve in the future. I remember how he would always buy me and Tomiwa iced tea in Nigeria and make Plantain for us and how he would always tell us funny stories and jokes, but the thing most important he told me was to stay strong and take care of my mother and brother as being the man in the house. He told me to always help my mother in any type of way, I should always be by her side, and I should never forget where I came from. Forever in our hearts he lives on

I know you are watching down from heaven grandpa. I hope you are proud that I keep strong. I really miss you and the way you referred to me as, ‘my baby’. When I heard the news, I tried not to cry so I could keep strong for you. I hope you're with your family in heaven watching over all of us and you are happy. I know that we will all join you when the time comes, and we will be together again.

To Grandpa,
In your presence, we find strength, wisdom, and love that knows no bounds. Today, I want to pay tribute to the remarkable man you are and the profound impact you've had on our lives.
We lived with you for seven years, and in that time, you showed us what it means to be truly accommodating. Your open heart and welcoming spirit transformed our house into a home filled with warmth and acceptance. Every day, you made us feel like family, embracing us with your kindness and understanding.
Your recent time spent with us in Australia was a precious gift. You reconnected with the kids and us, imparting life wisdom onto them just like you knew you were about to leave us. Your guidance during that time was invaluable, and the lessons you shared will remain etched in their hearts forever.
Your unwavering support and guidance have been a beacon of light, illuminating our path even in the darkest of times. You were a man of principle, and you stuck with them till the end, never compromising in any situation. Your resilience in the face of adversity inspires us to persevere, to never lose hope, and to always strive for greatness.
Today, I want to express my deepest gratitude for all that you are and all that you do. We love you deeply, but we find solace in knowing that God loves you even more.
Thank you for being the incredible man that you are. We are truly fortunate to have you in our lives.
With love and admiration, - Ayobami (Your Daughter-in-law)

Daddy, you always said, 'Bola, you are my daughter' and it was with pride that I was your daughter. We were no longer father and daughter in law. We had an understanding, and you always assured me. Even when we had our misunderstandings, you always said a father and daughter would always have misunderstandings. You were principled and never minced words. You were kind and full of love. Your support was immense, and to say you will be missed is an understatement. Who will talk to me about Nigerian politics? That was always our breakfast conversation.
You lived life on your own terms. You were cheerful and full of love.
You will be missed and although you may be gone, you live forever in our hearts. Your laughter will ring in our ears. Timi will miss you calling him, 'yeye Nigerian boy' and Demi will miss your 'hello my baby.'Rest in peace daddy.
You will always be remembered. - Bola (Daughter-in-Law)

In loving memory of Uncle Femi, with a steadfast spirit and unwavering honesty, you embodied the essence of true leadership. Your straight talk and genuine actions spoke volumes, reflecting the integrity of an Ondo man through and through. Though you held high standards, your heart overflowed with kindness, offering unwavering support to those you held dear. Your distinct approach to life illuminated every room, leaving an indelible mark as a rare gem among us. Your departure leaves a void too profound to measure, yet your legacy of strength and compassion will endure in the hearts of all who were touched by your presence. Rest peacefully, dear Uncle Femi. Your memory will forever be cherished, and your influence will continue to guide us. Amen. - Nike Iluyemi

Tribute to a brother and in-law.
Death has no style of announcing the time the mode and the person to be taken away. It was a big shock to listen to a conversation announcing your demise on Easter Sunday for that matter when the Christendom was agog in celebration of the resurrection of our saviour Jesus Christ. Immediately I recollected.
I overheard you talking to your sister Lara two days earlier and your usual way "I'm alright, I'm ok, no problems" featured prominently in the discussion little did we realise it was the last time. I would have loved to have the last words with you.
I do not want to go into details of what happened nor provide diagnosis for what happened as the case is beyond us nor we will not continue to weep like people without hope. As Christians who are we to contest God's decision. We have accepted in faith. Femi was a devoted family man a wonderful brother. Easy going and fun to be with especially when he's socializing. Loved by his neighbours and retinue of friends. Within the family circle he was the rallying point. He loved his immediate family Lara, Yinka and Gbenga. Femi doted much on his children and today they are all around with their wives, husband children and friends, who came as far away as Australia and Britain to bid him farewell.
My prayer is that your departure brings about greater unity within the family circle both the immediate and the extended.
As you embark on your last journey may you be accompanied by His Angels to your eternal resting place
Rest in peace Femi my in-law till the resurrection morn when we shall meet and part no more. - Dr. Akin George

March 31st, a day I will always remember in sadness. I am writing this tribute with tear filled eyes and a heavy heart, weak and living an incomplete life but the Lord knows best and comforts me daily with thoughts of the life you have lived, a life worthy of emulation and blessings. I believe above all things that you are in the Lord's bosom, gone to a better place and I am a full embodiment of yourself.
Daddy loved reading the newspapers or a book with a cup of tea, watching the news with a bottle of Heineken, his favourite TV channel is CNN. He loves his me time where he would hum and listen to some of his favourite songs like, Jimmy Reeves, and look to the sky.
I remember my younger self with daddy, while on school holiday, me alone at home and my brothers in school, I would usually go with my daddy to the office and the night before, my dad would say to me, go to bed and scream we leave 4am DEAD in the morning, of course I always struggled with why daddy was in the office for 5.30am.
A day in life with my daddy in his office guarantees Mr Biggs Meat Pie and Caprisone or unripe roasted Plantain and groundnut. I always opt for the ripe roasted plantain as a meal which I always longed for.
He could roar like a lion. He wouldn’t or couldn’t hide his anger. I tell my kids, ‘Grandpa yelled and it didn’t feel good when he did’. He could yell hard, but he loved us that hard too. As tough as he was on us, he was also that caring and loving.
I am my father's daughter, we were cats and dogs, in love and disagreements. One of our disagreements was me having to use my medications when I was ill. I still do not like taking medications till date.... I miss you so much daddy and can't believe you are gone. I would give anything to say goodbye in person, hold you, hug you, kiss you and tell you are my strength and I love you more than I imagined. I can't replace you. You are irreplaceable Dad
About my dad:
Discipline
You’re the living embodiment of discipline. I mean, who else can stick to a routine like you? Every day, you move through life with a precision that amazes me. It’s a testament to your unwavering commitment to excellence.
Self-care
You listen to your body and feed it all the good stuff. Those long walks you take every day, rain or shine, show how much you care about your well-being.
Acceptance
I’ve never heard you complain or compare yourself to others. You accept people for who they are, including yourself. That’s a rare quality, and it creates an environment of love and understanding.
My Hero
Leading by example
Life hasn’t always been easy, and I’ve seen you go through some tough times. It broke my heart to see you in pain, but those moments of vulnerability showed me the true strength of our family. You led us through those storms, a true commander-in-chief.
Integrity and Moral Values
Integrity is a core value my dad emphasised from an early age. He taught me the importance of honesty, fairness, and doing the right thing, even when faced with difficult choices. His integrity served as a guiding light, showing me the significance of living a life aligned with strong moral values.
Work Ethic and Perseverance
My dad instilled in me a strong work ethic and taught me the value of perseverance. You led by example, showing me the importance of dedication, discipline, and hard work. Your tireless efforts in life and career served as a constant reminder that success is the result of consistent effort and unwavering determination.
Timeless charm
Even at 81, you still turn heads. Your charisma hasn’t faded one bit. You still have that magnetic personality that captivates everyone around you.
Fiercely independent and strong
He wouldn’t have lived the happy life he did, enjoying the freedom he valued. He liked to look after himself and didn’t want to be molly coddled. Most times he even refused help. In his elder years, it was his fierce need for independence that kept him mobile and enjoying a daily social life. He had a huge love of people, beer and humour. Dad loved being out and about and having the ability to do all these things independently.
He prided himself in the works of his hands, and that which the Lord blessed him with, never selfish or going beyond his means.
I, Titilayo, I am proudly and always my Daddy's baby😢😢😢, always sounding loudly to my elderly ones to take care of his baby... me and their baby sister.
We are thankful for those he blessed, impacted their world, for how he teased those around him, causing them to smile and laugh, and for the way he invented the role all of himself in me and older ones.
We hold on to the memories and legacy he leaves behind.
Adieu Baami... Pa Iluyemi, till we meet again to part no more.
Still cannot believe you are gone. Titilayo (Daughter: Dad's baby)

March 31st is a day I will never forget in sadness. It's been a few days, Dad, but I have not accepted that I won't see you again. This is not how I imagined you leaving us at all, and it pains me to realise that you won't be there for us, your children to continually take care of you after struggling to bring us up, and your grandchildren to grow and become great people.
Recently, I have been going down memory lane, and I am proud to be allowed to call you my father. A man who loved his family deeply, A man who worked hard and sacrificed everything to take care of his family, A man who brought us up by himself after Mum passed on. A man who was always willing to lend a helping hand, A husband, A father, A friend, A man who was and is my number 1 role model. I never thought there was anything you couldn't do if you wanted to, Dad, well, except avoid death.
"If only you could feel the tears in the world you left behind." A lot of tears have been shed and are still falling since your demise, Daddy, because a lot of us cannot believe that such a thing has happened and it is the only way we know how to mourn.
"Once again, I've come to realise you're a loss I can't replace." You are irreplaceable, Dad. If you were not, people aside from your family would not feel so much sadness and grief at your demise, but that is not so because you are one of a kind, and we are all sad that this one-of-a-kind man was taken from us.
I am writing this tribute with tear-filled eyes and a heavy heart, but the Lord comforts me daily with thoughts of your life, a life worthy of emulation. Above all things, I believe that you are in the Lord's bosom, and I only ask you to watch over your family.
I LOVE YOU DAD.
Rest in peace, Daddy, till we meet to part no more. - Shola (Son)

My Super Dad aka Mr No problem aka Enjoy yourself.
Hmm... where do I begin? It's difficult to find the right words to express the depth of my gratitude and admiration for you. But I'll try to focus on the most impactful moments—the ones that shaped me into the person I am today.
From the very beginning, you made it your mission to ensure that I lacked nothing, whether at school, at home, or out in the world. You seamlessly juggled the role of both father and mother, imparting invaluable lessons and unwavering love every step of the way.
You taught me that education is the key to unlocking the best possible future, and you spared no effort in providing me and my siblings with the tools we needed to succeed. With one hand, you showered us with gifts and affection, while with the other, you instilled in us a sense of discipline and honesty.
Your heart was as big as your love for us, welcoming everyone into our lives with kindness and warmth. Yet, you never tolerated nonsense from any of us or anyone else, setting clear boundaries and expectations.
My friends saw you not just as a father figure, but as their own. Your reassuring words, "there's no problem, Muyiwa, I am fine," echoes in my mind, a testament to your unwavering strength and resilience.
Your dedication to your work and projects was unmatched, exemplified by your punctuality and commitment to excellence. You were always the first person at the office, setting a standard of diligence and professionalism that I strive to emulate. You prided yourself with punctuality that the last time you were in the UK 2022 and your flight was 10.00pm at night, knowing you, I told you we will leave at 1pm and should be at the airport at 3pm max. You woke up early and were ready at 8am. Knocked on my room door to say that we should leave at 9am. My God! I had to talk you into leaving around 11am for a flight at 10pm with just 1hr 30mins to the airport.
In times of hardship, you stood by me, teaching me the importance of resilience and hard work. Your tireless dedication to providing for our family inspired me to give my all in everything I do.
You loved us fiercely, ensuring that we felt supported and cherished every step of the way. Whether it was waiting at taxi parks when I was off to university or outside Lagos, writing the plate number and waiting until the taxi left or helping with maths assignments, you went above and beyond to show your care and support.
I always admire how nothing stresses you. Always telling me not to stress about anything. That's the origin of your famous saying "no problem".
There are so many things I can say about you, and one clear thing about your strictness was that you loved us unconditionally. Many men would have neglected us and married another woman after mummy passed away, but you stayed with us and never remarried. Even when we got older and pleaded with you to do so, you ignored us. You gave us the world, putting your needs secondary to ours. You moved mountains to provide us with the best, making my siblings and I live and feel like princes and princesses. We weren't rich, but you made us feel that way, all within your means. You always told us that if you cannot afford anything, don't go outside your pocket to do so. Always said that if it's garri you can drink, then do so and walk tall.
Dad, you made me who I am today. Your belief in the power of education as the ultimate investment resonates deeply with me, and I am forever grateful for the sacrifices you made to provide us with the best opportunities.
Though there were times we clashed, I always knew that your love for me was unwavering. And for that, I am eternally thankful.
You may no longer be with us in person, but your legacy lives on in the lessons you taught me and the love you shared. Rest in peace, knowing that your impact on my life will never be forgotten.
Thank you, Dad, for everything you have given me. Your love, wisdom, and unwavering support will forever be cherished in my heart. I miss you dad.
With all my love, your son Muyiwa.(Son)
Hmm... where do I begin?

In Loving Memory Of My Dad, Grand Father and Father In Law:
Olufemi Olushola Iluyemi In the tender embrace of cherished memories, we find solace, comfort, and an enduring connection to the one we hold dear. Today, we gather not in sorrow, but in celebration of a life lived with remarkable grace, love, and unwavering devotion.
Olufemi Iluyemi, you were a beacon of light in our lives, illuminating the darkest of days with your radiant smile and boundless compassion. Your presence was a blessing, your essence a symphony of kindness and warmth that touched all who had the privilege to know you. Your spirit was a gentle melody, echoing through the corridors of time, leaving an indelible mark on those you encountered. Your laughter, like a chorus of angels, continues to resonate in the depths of our souls, reminding us of the joy you brought us.
Though you may have departed from this earthly realm, your love endures, a guiding star that shines brightly in the heavens above. Your legacy lives on in the hearts of those you loved and in the countless people you touched with your generosity and kindness.
As we bid farewell to you, we take solace in knowing that you have embarked on a new journey, free from pain and suffering, surrounded by the eternal embrace of love. Though we may grieve your physical absence, we find comfort in all the memories, for they serve as a testament to the profound impact you had on our lives.
Rest peacefully dad, your light will continue to shine brightly in our minds forevermore. Until we meet again, may you find peace and serenity in the arms of angels, and may your spirit soar among the stars.
In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will be in our hearts.”

Dad’s Emotional side
A long time ago, when our family lived in the CBN Estate in Satellite Town, my brother and I upset our dad. I can't recall what happened, but he was extremely angry and upset, and kicked us out of the house. My brother and I headed to Ibadan. My dad had two people in his life whom he looked up to and respected, his big brother late Daddy Yemetu and his elder sister late Mummy Ikeja. We sat with Daddy Yemetu and explained the situation to him. Being a loving and caring brother, he immediately took us in his car and drove down to Lagos to speak to our dad. Daddy Yemetu asked us to apologize, and when we did, I saw tears rolling down my dad's face. It was clear that he wasn't happy with what had happened, but he took us back into the house. That was the first and only time I ever saw my dad cry.
He was not just a disciplinarian and strict dad; he also had a soft side....All the children
